I was watching the History of the SEC and Sylvester Croom was talking about the 1972 season when Auburn upset Alabama... Then Texas beat them in the Cotton Bowl... Croom actually said that. "Bama didn't wanna be there". So I guess SEC teams "didn't want to be there" all the way back in the 1970s... I always thought that was a later phenomenon.
Sam & Company knocked Georgia's dick in the dirt. They know it and we know it.
Back to undefeated seasons? No.

But that’s why we like the SEC… it’s fun to compete against other invested and arrogant schools and their fanbases with big traditions like Alabama, Georgia, and LSU who fiercely care about college sports…

Most likely one or two of them that made the list are Texas guys.
As far as A&M goes, the over 60 crowd is pretty delusional. If you ever need proof, just wander over to TexAgs.com. Fair warning, even as an Aggie myself, I feel the need to take a shower after opening any TexAgs link.
The 35-60 crowd has mostly experienced a life of 8-4 and were pleasantly surprised by last season and hoping we set a new plateau at least at the 10 games per season range.
Those under 35 are like everyone else everywhere - still idiots just figuring life out. Their votes don't count.

Yall are just as delusional as the rest of us. A little more so than most tbh. But it’s local, and largely contained. Outside world doesn’t see it as much. OU sunshine pumpers vs the small rational majority… THAT is something to see
