Sure, they’re G5, but I bet their program is in a better state than Arkansas and Mizzou right now and would only be better with SEC resources.
They aren’t a big school but they would occasionally pull upset against P5 opponents (including OOC). They’d be a likeable version of UCF.

The SEC really should have the best football teams from each state it represents.

Hard pass. Culturally Memphis is a terrible fit. Think about all of the great SEC college towns like Athens and Oxford; Memphis is a complete shite hole. And the SEC fans have a specific style - game day polos and the girls in sundresses; Memphis fans are trashy as frick. Oh, and the Liberty Bowl is a terrible stadium.

Like Mississippi State is superior to Mizzou. BTW...we played Memphis in 2018 and won 65-33. Shouldn’t have been that close.
