Yes, there are larger outdoor football stadiums than Arrowhead. There are not louder ones.

Nothing else like it.
Yes I'm sure it's a modern model of engineering and it's irreplaceable.
I've never seen a quote from an SEC player saying that NFL stadiums are louder, only the other way around. Provide one and we'll all question our opinions.

And just like that, I’ll be pulling for Joe Burrow vs Kansas City

It’s crazy how much traction this is getting, dude said this months ago.
The media is running wild with it.
They are acting like he specifically pointed out Arrowhead.
BDJ comin.

Arrowhead is clearly the loudest NFL stadium, so I get why there is pushback. But Burrow is correct. It’s not going to be more intimidating compared to what he has already faced.
Also, Burrow is very easy to root for.

Tiger Stadium (and others in the SEC) is a 100+ year old concrete block 75% fully enclosed by an upper deck and it is very very steep, but it also holds 20k+ more people than Arrowhead. And the lower deck alone holds nearly as many people as the entirety of Arrowhead. Another difference in college stadiums, in general, is that they don't have chairback seating throughout the entirety of the stadiums. Most of the capacities of SEC stadiums consist of seating that is much closer together, cramming a lot more people into a smaller surface area.
Burrow has played at Auburn, Florida, Texas A&M, and Alabama all in big games as well as playing in many big games in Tiger Stadium such as Georgia, Florida, and Alabama. I don't think Arrowhead is any louder than those venues, and even if it is, the difference is marginal at best. When he was asked the question in October, it was whether the crowd noise would be intimidating to him. Obviously, he's played in plenty of extremely raucous venues in college, so it's not some unjustifiable take he had in response. Not to mention, he never even singled out Arrowhead. The media is just pulling a 2-3 month old sound bite and replaying it as if he said it this week about the game in Arrowhead on Sunday

Wish some of these NFL guys could have experienced that LSU vs Bama 2012 game. Then they would finally understand what a big time SEC primetime game is like. Words can’t do it justice.

Here's something else to consider.
Obviously, I already agreed with Joe immediately after I heard his quote.
Then, I just thought about it a little more.
Think of how loud most every game for LSU was that year. Tiger Stadium games are already off the charts in any normal season. Add in a season where they roll on to a National Championship, and the roar would have had to grow as each game passed to a point of utter ridiculousness.
I know how loud Jordan-Hare gets and although I didn't make a home game in 2010, I heard the noise level was literally at another level that year.
I think that would apply to any conference school on their way to a NC.
I would think that UGA fans would probably say that their games this year were the loudest games collectively ever in one season.
TLDR, Joe is 100% correct.

Arrowhead has been measured as the loudest crowd in North American sports so Tynes is right.
And LSU’s stadium looks like a Sears at 3 pm on a Tuesday after halftime.

(Pssst, Arrowhead holds the world record.)
Such an overrated thing.
First, Guiness only shows up when someone is trying to set a record. It's not like they monitor every moment in every stadium. It's like LSU talking about the earthquake game. Has probably happened many times at many stadiums, but someone just happened to be recording it at that moment. It's a cool story, but probably not unique.
Second, the crowd was aware that they were trying to break a record and were told when to "get loud".
Third, it was not a sustained roar, but a moment.
I've been to a big game at Arrowhead (not playoff), and it was a fun environment. They tailgated before and were rowdy during the game. I would compare it to a big game at USCe. That's not bad, since the only USCe game I went to was when they beat Bama in 2001.

ITT people who haven't been to Arrowhead
I don't know if it's necessarily louder than some of the better college environments, but it's a lot more comparable to an SEC environment than other NFL home stadiums

You can most certainly add Tiger Stadium to that list. Thousands in TS not even watching the game on any given Saturday & leaving early, even in tight games

Lsu did not pass on Cam Robinson. Get real.

Exactly, he was just saying he's been in loud stadiums, this isn't anything new.
The media is acting like he shite on Arrowhead and said its quiet.

You have little to compare it to. Mizzu can't get a decent enough teams to draw fans for it to be loud. When they travel the crowd noise disappears quickly because its over at the half.

Cam was a 2nd round pick. Not quite sure that makes him "Alabama's best OL ever".

Been to Camarohead. It's loud. Not THAT loud. TBH, War Memorial for the 98 Kentucky game and War Memorial when Decori Birmingham caught the Miracle on Markham were easily as loud - or louder - than anything Camarohead has ever produced. Tiger Stadium is definitely substantially louder. And even Neyland when they used to be good was louder.
Camarohead is a swell NFL stadium with a bunch of country-come-to-town getting revved up a few Sundays a year. Big deal.
