War Memorial is objectively a shite hole but had some awesome environments back in the day. My favorite was in 2006. I've never seen a crowd go so wild and then so silent so quickly. LSU scored a TD, then DMac scored on the first play of Arkansas' next possession, then Trindon Holliday returned the ensuing kickoff for a TD. 3 TDs in about 20 seconds of game time. That game, in general, was nuts start to finish.

Yep. I was at that game too. War Memorial is a complete dump. But the design with all concrete and aluminum, completely closed in and 54,000 right on top of you, makes it an echo chamber. Same Faulkner/Saline County Come to Town dynamic, along with several hours on the golf course pregaming made that place a hell hole back in the day.
