USA TODAY Sports - New York Post analyst and former NFL kicker Lawrence Tynes addressed a quote attributed during the regular season to Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow about crowd noise, in which the former LSU standout suggested that he was prepared for playing in the loudest environments as a professional because he played in Southeastern Conference stadiums in college.

Lawrence Tynes Tweet
@lt4kicks
To be fair, Joe has never played at Arrowhead. Having said that, he is in for a rude awakening. There is no place louder in sports and it’s not up for debate.

TTT- Someone please invite this guy to a rivalry game in the SEC. He obviously never witnessed the loudest stadiums.

I don't think they understand what 90,000+ drunk Southerners in one place sounds like.

That quote was awesome when it was first released.

Loved it.

Lawrence Tynes' only frame of reference is the Kansas City area...and there's no college program within 100 miles that has a loud stadium.

Wasn't he the one arrested with a stolen firearm at the park and Coach Nick Sabah claimed he was coming home from the shooting range?

Glad LSU passed on him.

But in regards to Burrow's statement, at least he knows the truth.

Tynes played at Troy. They were still Div I-AA while he was there (1997-2000). The largest stadium he played at in college was probably Cincinnati.

Fans can debate all they want but 99.9999% of fans have incredibly limited samples sizes. Even if you've been to a game at Arrowhead and Tiger Stadium, way too many variables such as time, opponent, quality of the home team, postseason relevance exist. Ive seen more players say College is louder. They should be the leading authority on the matter.

Same thing that killed NFL noise, that it did to Bama. Too many corporate seats with old people sitting on their hands.

Alabama seats over 100,000 of mostly drunk southerners. Doubt Arrowhead is even close.

I love that Burrow has gotten into the heads of many.

I was listening to espnu radio and they were discussing his purple sunglasses, I was chuckling about his answer to a question about those.

Reporter: Joe, what’s the significance of the purple glasses?

Joe: I thought they looked cool

Get em Joe

Post of the day! Print the shirts. Laughed at the shock they would be under witnessing one SEC rivalry game.

I just think there is a point that arguing which is louder becomes a moot point. Does the crowd that is loud provide some advantage? yep.

Truth. I’m a huge LSU fan and have been to many games in Tiger Stadium. It’s very loud. But, I begrudgingly have to say that the loudest stadium I’ve ever been to was Jordan-Hare. Ear splitting and those fans don’t stop and they don’t leave early. They are a rowdy bunch. Reminds me of what Tiger Stadium used to be. I hope we get back to it.

Bryant-Denny is much more reserved.

Pick one of the rivalry SEC games. Alabama vs Aub, Fla vs Ga, LSU vs Bama, Aggies vs Bama, or Ole Miss vs State, them damn cowbells will have your ears ringing for days.

I've been to NFL games in Charlotte, Atlanta, Nashville, and Houston and there is absolutely no comparison to the crowd noise in the SEC.
