Joe has had quite a bit better season than Tua had last year and can only stop himself in my biased opinion

This is dumb. Tua had the best season ever throwing the ball last year in College football history. Alabama was way more dominant last year than LSU was this year. Tua didn't play much in the 2nd halves of game. I think the LSU game was the 1st time he even threw a 4th qtr pass. Bama won 29-0.

If you extrapolate his stats from last year across the number of snaps Burrow had this year Tuas numbers are much better. Not to mention Tua was in a fake QB battle to start the season and split reps with Jalen for the 1st 4 games.

When you win every single regular season game by 3 + TDs you don't get a chance to pad stats.

Clemson can win, but LSU has to have a bad game for Clemson to win. LSU has the better team this year. Clemson doesn't have those 3 1st rders on the defensive line anymore to help their back seven.

LSU will score 40+ pts and clemson won't score enough to keep up.

Clemson only hope is to force field goals and to get some turnovers.

yet it held your vaunted O to 23 points. that is my point. Your O has struggled against good D's this year..........Clemson has a good D.

CEH actually started to shine for the 1st time this season in the AU game as the WRs routes were limited due to the field conditions. Two weeks later he showed the nation what he was capable of.

Again.

39.7 points against top 50 scoring defenses.

Clemson averages 24.6 points against top 50 scoring defenses.

Georgia, Alabama, and Florida are all ranked ahead of Auburn in both total defense and scoring defense.

You're making yourself look ignorant.

Really?
Because 2019 Joe has a better passer efficiency rating than 2018 Tua.

Tua did not have the best year ever as a passer in college football last year. The guy who won the Heisman trophy this year did. Quit talking out of your arse.

so you truly believe bama had a top 10 D?

Not on the same level as Alabama fans are used to, but in the vacuum of the 2019 season, advanced analytics show that they are.

Why do we need for verification from Joe Schmo Alabama fan on his couch?

I’m guessing he meant up until this year.

What? HE had more than 55 TD's and over 5000 yds?

REally?

Alabama didn't play a comparable schedule.

I think the LSU game was the 1st time he even threw a 4th qtr pass. Bama won 29-0.

Also the first time he threw an interception....

Maybe schedule better competition? Hard to do so far out but that isn't a good excuse.
When you play 6 top ten teams in one season you do.

Clemson can win, but LSU has to have a bad game for Clemson to win. LSU has the better team this year. Clemson doesn't have those 3 1st rders on the defensive line anymore to help their back seven.

Finally, we agree. LSU has to do something LSU hasn't done all season. WRs and Burrow not on the same page. LSU has too many weapons to play man and not expect our Oline to give burrow enough time. You can only show different looks prior to the snap, but once the ball is snapped you expose your true intentions.

That is where Burrow is at his best. Reading the safties and LB's and whether or not they bite or drop.

Clemson's only hope is to force field goals and to get some turnovers.

I'd focus on Stingley for TO. He's had a few on just fielding punts. He had a crucial one early in the AU game that led to a TD.

You LSU people are in for a rude awakening. Clemson is going to play you close.

Don't ask me how, they have Jordan Hare luck in the playoffs. But they will. LSU is not some unbeatable juggernaut. You were an onside kick away from sweating bullets in BDS in a game you should never have let get that close.

Moo st blitzed when CEH went in motion. It was also before we really figured out how to use Moss.

We had two offensive line starters out. And three defensive line starters out.

Not going to work again.

There is some of the antibarner we all saw the last few months. Come on, show those true bitter colors.

LSU got better as the season progressed both on Offense and Defense. ST's is a push but Clemson's FG kicking isn't comparable. LSU hasn't needed Stingley to flash his ability on Kick returns all year. Burrow and the offense have given LSU all the sparks they need.

If you think bama had a better D than Auburn, you are a fool.

ETA You can go by "rankings" all you want. If all teams played the same other teams, you might have something........but this is college football and that's not how it works.

Obviously you have not watched very many games over the past 8 years. It was amazing how many times over and over calls went against LSU. However saying that it becomes somewhat mental after that. So LSU fans me included become perhaps alittle paranoid.

OP translation: “my simpleton attempt at film breakdown failed and was ripped to shreds so now I have to resort to vague statements that have zero bearing on the upcoming football game”

Typical football-simpleton approach.

I didnt say they were, but they are ranked ahead of you in both of the biggest defensive statistics.

You're actually only one spot ahead of LSU in total defense.

We have listened to the how an opponent defense is going to,shut down LSU and Burrow most weeks since the Texas game.

No one has really done it. Auburn did on a very wet field. And with Bama next.

Moo st was a trap game between Florida and Auburn.

Ohio st had receivers running free all over the field

If Clemson plays three high safeties they will not be able to for long as we will run them to death Even two high safeties will invite a bunch of rushing yards

To me the game hinges on what the LSU defense does against Clemson.
Lawrence will go deep to test us
They will try to go to TEttiene in space
Lawrence will try to run
Can the LSU corners stay in coverage
Can LSU tackle in space.
If we do the score is going to be very ugly
LSU defense is far better than any of the Clemson people are saying/understanding
