We taking Jawon Pass at QB. Always good to see an in-state guy like that at QB, a la Nick Marshall and Cam Newton

ISWYDT.

Hopefully the Auburn staff can convince him that Auburn is a better destination than Louisville.

[quote]As for this year, while getting Johnson on board was important, Malzahn said another player was every bit as crucial: Darrell Williams. The four-star linebacker from powerhouse Hoover High School grew up an Alabama fan and was heavily pursued by the Crimson Tide. Oklahoma was hot on his trail, too. Read more here: LINK ]

Such BS, Williams was begging for a Bama offer til the end. Honest AU fans will admit this.

And Auburn finished higher than Alabama in the recruiting rankings, right?

Oh, wait a minute...

When both teams are only able to put players from the state of Alabama on the field, that *might* make a little difference.

Probably so, but Darrell Williams was, IMO, the 3rd best linebacker recruit Auburn landed behind Richard McBryde (my personal favorite) and Jeff Holland. However, now it just depends on who gets qualified because I have read that all three may have grade issues. Don't quote me on that, it might be untrue.

Are bama fans really this riled up over some coach speak? That's just sad.

There's one thing you DO NOT say to an Alabama fan (actually 2)...

1) ________ beat you out for a recruit.
2) ________ had a better class than Alabama.

At least be honest when you say this. I'll readily admit that Auburn beat out Alabama for Kerryon Johnson and Jalen Harris, Byron Cowart as well if you want to include out of state recruits. I just don't think that Alabama really wanted Darrell Williams, but when Alabama fans say this a lot of Auburn fans spew BS.

I'd trade Southern Cal's class for Alabama's if it included more regional recruits. As for the SEC, it is completely objective for me to look at the rankings and say that nobody had a better class than Alabama.

Another ignorant post by auburnphan23. What a surprise.

Will Muschamp was pushing hard for him to visit on the last weekend of recruiting season. I guess Muschamp is a "nobody"
