Anyone who actively believes the playoff should move to 16 teams doesn’t understand how violent this sport it.

Forcing the players to play 17 games will literally ruin the game and player’s careers as well.

1990s Miami would destroy all football teams today

All of them

I constantly hear about all the things that will ruin college football - NIL, the transfer portal.

The games today were wild fun and, somehow, college football is still entertaining and enjoyable. Sports medicine has come a long way, and athlete health is not in any danger of a terminal inflection point.

Bring on the expansion and a ton of fun beyond two semifinal games.

Let's just cancel the season, too.

And this right here is the problem.

It's not about what you find to be entertaining. It's about deciding who is the national champion.

We have good football games all season long. It doesn't take shitting all over the format that decides the national champion to get them.

If the statistics prove you correct the coaches could simply play the players in fewer games that are blowouts. Give them the week off.

Then why does highschool, Fcs and nfl football do just fine?

LSU's best player this year got hurt in the first half of the first game jumping up during a celebration and tore his ACL.

shite happens

They couldn’t destroy 1992 Alabama…

IIRC, all eleven starters on that defense eventually played in the NFL.

Close.
James Gregory did not. Pretty sure Chris Donnelly didn't either.

Cut the season back to 11 games and the maximum number of games will be 15 with a sixteen team playoff. Eliminate the conference championship games.

1990’s Miami teams raised the standard of playing college football. Now, every team plays with a little 90’s Miami swag. This being said, 90’s Miami teams would be gassed before halftime trying to keep up with these 185 lb receivers hovering above ground as they run routes, consistently making circus catches.

If todays teams played with 90’s Miami rules… idk

Well then it's a good thing they are only moving it to a 12 team playoff then.

Only 1 impacted the game and it was Harrison Jr. Ohio State wins if he doesn’t get hurt (and that’s a fact)

As does high school. I believe in Texas teams play 16 games all the way until the sat before Christmas.
