No that’s pretty much the worst starting duo in the league. Outside of maybe Detroit, but they are basically a practice squad anyway.

@NFL

@MacJones_10 just threw 19 straight completions.
Longest streak by a rookie QB in the last 30 years (per

Mac & Bill are going to have the Pats back in the playoffs if not this year then certainly next year. 19 completions in a row? That’s insane. Mac is legit.

I don't quite understand all the constant Mac Jones stuff.
He was an amazing college qb and looks to have a great NFL career. It might not happen just because there are so many things that could go wrong along the way but for a rookie he looks to be on track.
Personally, I was glad Tampa won last week, but that is just because I like seeing an older guy still winning games.
Jones is in a great franchise. That team has issues now, but in a year or so, they will be back.
Alabama fans sure are salty about this topic, which I guess is the only reason these threads will continue. But in the NFL, you can expect a qb to have some really good days and really bad ones.
Are we going to have multiple threads each and every time?
Why don't we have Hurts threads each week in here as well?
Oh and let me just throw this out there --- muh Cam!

Tide fans do so enjoy rubbing Jones' success in the face of a certain psychotic Auburn poster who envies and despises ALL thing Bama. Hell, he's a running joke among the regulars around here, and we love to get him lathered up. It's probably not morally right to do it, but....who doesn't love to tease the monkeys at the zoo?
PS- Condolences to the Auburn fan base for having to "own" this guy, but we've all got'em, too!

17 points against a team missing its entire secondary is nothing to go crazy about, but Mac was solid.
His Oline is below NFL average, no real standout receivers, and a non-existent run game balances out the Bucs depleted secondary. Also the driving rain wasn’t exactly helping either team’s passing attack. Mac is coming along nicely. Perhaps the most consistent on the rookie QBs this year. I think the floor for him is middle of the pack NFL starter for 10+ years.

Jones success includes 3 TDs in 4 Games, with the longest TD pass being a 10 yard slant. Bama fans are hanging on to his completion percentages, but there isn't a D in the NFL that would not allow those passes with no threat of being burnt long.. The Pats have the worst Offense in the NFL, remember most of their points were against the Jets, yet Bama fan are rubbing someone's nose it it. LOL.
fricking 3 TDs in 4 Games. Lol

He has 4 TDs, not 3 and his longest TD was 22 yards, not 10. Have you ever been right about anything on this board?

I hadn't read this thread until now but I saw the title and immediately thought, "I bet Irons Puppet has been posting in this thread." And I see that I was not wrong.

A)Rodney Harrison: Patriots 'got a steal' in rookie QB Mac Jones
B)cornerbacks Xavien Howard and (former Patriot) Jason McCourty also were impressed by Jones’s decision-making and demeanor under center.
“He was poised,” Howard, who basically won the game by forcing a fumble late in the fourth, said of Jones. “He didn’t make many mistakes and put his team in position to win.”
McCourty added: “He didn’t really make any mistakes, he was poised. Even watching him in the huddle getting guys in, yelling, commanding, and a lot of what he looked like in the preseason, is how he performed. He gave his team a chance to win. He didn’t really make any mistakes, didn’t throw any errant passes and he is a poised young guy.
C)Both anonymous NFL QB coaches give glowing reviews of Jones, with one saying the Alabama star is the "most advanced" QB in the class.
"In my mind, if I had to win right now, this year, he’s the most advanced quarterback of any of them," the coach told Feldman. "I think Trevor’s the best. I’m cosigning on him, but his system adjustment will be much bigger than Mac. Jones is gonna walk in Day One and just have to flip terminology because he’s gonna know pro football. He’s been coached by Sark (Steve Sarkisian). He understands run checks, understands moving protections — not that these others don’t, but he’s on a different level.
D)“He keeps showing he’s got some guts,” center David Andrews said. “An honor to get to play with a guy like that. We’ve just got to find a way to win a football game. He battles. He’s a tough kid.”
Three different times Jones trotted into his huddle staring down a deficit, and three different times he drove the Patriots to a lead. That the last one didn’t end up doing the same does not diminish the value of the earlier work, work that underscores that Jones may indeed be in possession of the type of internal competitive streak combined with competitive poise that made Brady excel for the two decades here.
“I thought our team played competitively and Mac is certainly part of that — we can all play better and learn from what we could have done better,” Belichick said. “Mac fought hard and made a lot plays for us.”

I could go on and on, but don't feel the need to.
Man, your constant degrading of Jones only makes your credibility and opinions of things more and more laughable and irrelevant..

Mistake free ball leads to 3 fricking TDs all season. When the Defense knows your entire game consist a dinks and dunks , they will let you have those completions all day. Also consider who those Ds they were playing. Jets, Dolphins, Saints and a depleted Bucs. .
This class of QBs suck at this point, but I guess it is a consolation to be the best of the worst. Lol

My bad 4 TD, it just seems like 3 , lol
That long TD went 10 yards in the air.

At this point it has to be assumed that either Mac fricked Irons' girl at some point, or that Irons is actually in love with Mac but Mac turned him down. Nothing else makes sense.

The irony of an Auburn fan referring to Alabama as a "cult" is downright delicious.
