Never was a Mac Jones fan, but this guy really showed out last night! It proves that if you have a QB that is able to capitalize on taking what the defense is giving, you can have success! He knew where to go each time, and he should only get better as he progress.

Congrats Mac

17 points against a team missing its entire secondary is nothing to go crazy about, but Mac was solid.

He had some plays early where I wasn't sure but he did a very solid job overall.

His WR Corps is an absolute joke too but he does have a bad OL. They need Trent Brown

Bill Belichick and Josh McDaniels took 3 and half games to decide to go to the no-huddle. And Belichick wussed out on that last minute missed field goal. They only needed 3 yards. He should have gone for it.

Is Belichick losing his touch?

I think their WRs are actually a bigger problem for him than the OL. They create zero separation, even against the backup secondary Tampa had last night. No separation means every throw has to be perfect, and YAC is pretty much out the window unless it's a screen.

Mac Jones had more talent around him at Alabama and it isn’t very close.

If Brady takes a minute during his post game to say how Mac did a really good job, then he did solid work. Brady knows that offense and what looks he was getting, he'd be a good judge.

As others have mentioned the Pats WR are low rent. They have no one that is a down field threat. Zero running game comes down to that terrible line as well.

The Pats have a lot of roster work to do.

In terms of skill players - by far.

The Patriots apparently went out and spent a ton of money on some bum tight ends.

Imagine what Mac Jones could do on a team like Tampa Bay - Mike Evans, Godwin, and AB out wide with Leonard Fournette and Roy Jones coming out of the backfield, with a pretty solid Oline.

No wonder Tom wanted out of New England. Their offensive players are trash

I thought Mac was only good because he had an awesome offensive line and great receivers

Think about it. The Patriots are one of the worst rushing teams in the NFL. Mac Jones is throwing more often than almost anyone. He's taking a hit every other play, and his receivers get no separation.

The only reason he's having any success is because he's been able to master a complex playbook

I think it was a good performance from last night, especially when you consider that it was only his fourth game, the weather was bad, the complete lack of a running game to support the passing game, and that they were playing against a good defense. I think he will continue to progress and get better. I also think there is a good chance that Belichick is keeping the offense pretty conservative.

He played well. Patriots desperately need a better O-Line. It's hard to beat anyone when your team rushes for -1 yards the entire game. That's not a typo, either - the Patriots finished the game with -1 rushing yards.

His receivers get no separation.... What game were you watching? Receivers couldn't get more wide open on 80% of his completions

So Tom Brady didn't prove this years ago?

Not what I said. I said Mac Jones got to play with more talent last year than he is this year. Since he plays offense I stand by that statement.

No question in my mind that the 2020 Bama or 2019 LSU offenses would put up more points per game than the 2021 Patriots offense and every GM in the NFL would trade the current 2021 Patriots offense for either of those offenses straight up without hesitation.

OL - Bama or LSU
QB - Bama (wash) or LSU
RB - Bama or LSU
TE - Patriots
