That much is clear from the release, they didn't want to leave the state with the uncertainty going on right now.

What? If they make the decision Tuesday UF could already be on its way. So you suggesting staying put during a hurricane is better than evacuating?

The thought process was that cancelling was less harmful than getting pounded by an LSU team with a new coach.

LSU should be more understanding of UF and what went into this hard choice.

Why? Last time this happened to LSU we moved to the opponent's stadium without drama

Well, LSU wasn't actively trying to have the game canceled.

So this is a different situation entirely.

What will the weather be like in Baton Rouge on Saturday and Sunday?

This. They've been exposed.

I feel bad for the state of Florida this week. Embarrassing football team and a hurricane.

Cool, I checked the website to reserve, and no availability for 1 room this weekend.

Edit. Doubt the lod cook would cancel reservations and kick people out. It's LSU owned so you never know

There's "no availability" as the rooms are always "booked" for the Tigers. Come on man. We tried to work with your people ... your people didn't want to work it out.

Florida offered to move game to November 19 and LSU said no.

Such as? And don't give me Baton Rouge.

Why not Baton Rouge? It's available. LSU owns a hotel on campus that can accommodate the entire Florida team and staff.

Why is the same solution reasonable for South Carolina or LSU but unreasonable for Florida?

Florida has been trying to get this game canceled since Tuesday. Wusses.

#LSU offered to play Sat/Sunday/Monday either in Baton Rouge or Gainesville. #LSU had secured hotels in BR + NOLA. Even offered #LSU plane.

Florida refused to play LSU for obvious reasons. Everyone knows it.

The problem is, this is NOT LSU's decision to make. And they're melting because of it.

It's UF's right to do whatever they want. Go pound sand Tigers.

no they didnt, and lsu is not willing to give a home game to accomdate a school that purposely stalled until no choice but canceling was left.

USC just last year faced a similar situation and moved the game

And they made the decision to puss out despite a clear alternative being made available to them.

Sure LSU offered UF a plane, buses and lodging, but do you know how hard it is to get a team that size to travel. It would require a plane, buses and lodging.

This is an asinine post - South Carolina had not problem do the exact same thing last year.

And I dont blame them. When could they have gotten home to family, friends, etc.

WE UNDERSTAND LSU HAD PLANES, TRAINS and AUTOMOBILES.
How was that gonna get Florida back and give them peace of mind about their situations back home? I wouldn't want to play football knowing shite may be getting destroyed or people dying back home. Dam.

Postponing this wasn't just the right call, it was the ONLY call for both LSU and Florida.
