Well, we have also recruited a lot more high school players in the last two classes that are a much higher level than what Lane brought in. You’re not thinking about how they can contribute to our team next season. Lane sucks at recruiting high school players. LSU does a mix of transfer portal and high school players, but are now leaning more towards the majority of high school players. That is honestly what all the top programs are doing right now. I don’t blame Lane/OM for going all in for next season, then he can ride off into the sunset, which has been his plan all along.
And, our coaches decided a while ago that Nussmeier was the guy. But the next best option was going to have no experience, so it makes sense to bring in another body. What don’t you get about this? If you have a need for a back up quarterback, you fill it. That’s what this guy is.

As bad as our defense played, historically bad, we were 2 TD pass attempts, with less than a minute, inside the 25, from winning. That sideline shot of Coach Freshwater shitttting his pants spoke volumes.
