I’ve never seen a more Arrogant and over confident fanbase heading into their first CFP NC game than the LSU crew on this site. When Clemson played Bama in our first CFP NC we were deferential to Bama and hoped to make a good showing. Try winning a meaningful NC game before mouthing off to the defending champs...oh and hope your team doesn’t choke.

Haha too much stock in this first time crap. LSU’s first time CFP game resulted in breaking 10 offensive all time CFP records. Yes we did hear the same crap from OU fans that this was our first CFP and of course talking heads blah blah blah.
You and your fan base might have elected to kiss Bama arse but you can bet your arse LSU fans won’t, so don’t be so arrogant as to imply as if we should. Don’t try to flatter yourself or your team butthole.

Oklahoma was the number 2 offense in the nation only trailing LSU by a yard.

For starters, LSU has already played 4 close games this year. It’s not like they’ve blown everyone out.
Clemson will definitely be the best team they’ve faced all year. Trevor Lawrence is a monster.
Of that, I have no doubt.

No... LSU's defense struggled with maintaining proper leverage early, and then with keeping intensity when they're up 20.
Being publically called out as the reason LSU wasn't "complete" has addressed that quite nicely

Clemson is good, but I don't think they're better on offense than Oklahoma was. Different, more traditional, yeah.
I think LSU can contain Etienne, and their WRs. It isn't like Stingley and Fulton are a huge dropoff from Ohio State's guys, and I think our LBs can cover better.

And don't totally discount the return of Divinity for the championship game- he might not start at LB now, but he's going to be in there with Chaisson rushing the passer.

And call me cocky if you like, but I'm willing to say Burrow/Brady will do ok vs Venebles, especially once we go tempo. They have to play vanilla once we start doing that, it showed against Ohio State.

As great as Joe Brady is, he doesn’t outweigh Dabo and Venebles

We’re considering Dabo a great coach now? I thought he was a CEO? Which one is it?

LSU has actually blown out everyone they've faced this year including y'all, but their defense has allowed teams to get back in these games because of the terrible play, defensively. Only Auburn I think kept it close, but LSU could have pulled away from them if not for the mistakes they made down in the red zone. But their defense(LSU) has come a long ways and is playing much better ball now, defensively, so, I don't expect Clemson to score at will in this game.

If UNC can come within 1 point against Clemson, LSU is worth +21. See I can play that angle also...

I remember when LSU created these two or made them who they are today when they barely beat LSU in that Peach bowl game in the ATL. Venables went up against a Les Miles led LSU team and offense, and well you know about that offense and what it was capable of doing which was absolutely nothing. LOL Clemson won by a point I think, and suddenly they realized they could play with the big boys and the rest is history. But just think if Miles' wasn't the stubborn fool that he was and had a credible offense, not necessarily an offense like LSU has now, but still one that was capable of passing a lot with the run. They would have beat the crap out of Clemson and you wouldn't know or hear that fool called Dabo today, I wish. LOL

It’s an LSU message board, Francis. You decided to come here to talk with LSU fans about the game. Sorry if we’re a little confident. We’ve played one of the toughest schedules ever beating 6 top 10 teams all while watching the greatest season a college football QB has ever put up.

Sorry about our confidence

I agree that Clemson will be the biggest test of LSU thus far. Auburn-level defense and great offensive players. We will have to play our best game to win it.

LSU vs a tougher schedule has been a more dominant team. LSU hasn’t trailed a game since October 23rd. Think about that. That includes games over Alabama, Georgia, & Oklahoma.

No, Trevor Lawrence and Clemson are being overlooked - just like last year.
They’re the real deal, and if Auburn can come within one score of LSU, Clemson can certainly win this game. Don’t kid yourself.

I'm so tired of hearing this shite about Auburn. There isn't another team in the country that has Auburns defensive line. They stopped LSU in the red zone on fourth and inches twice with their defensive front. The game is a blowout with those two tds but it didn't happen. Nobody else has stopped LSU. Nobody else will. UGA who has a better defense than Clemson tried to play like Auburn and got run out of the building. Terrace marshall dropped a sure td where the DB fell down and LSU missed a field goal. The game should've been 47-10. LSU is about to fricking burn Clemson.
