BK has had a lot of success in his career, and he’s somewhere twice as better than he’s been before.

There’s more talent, money, and support for him at LSU.

We're middle of the pack in the SEC this season.

Theyll be much improved but their record might not show it. Honestly any combination of 2 through 6 in the final SEC west standings wouldn’t be too surprising

Their schedule is kind of rough after the first month. How good their record is largely depends on how they hold serve in BR. They also don’t need to lose the first game for the 3rd year in a row; that’s a serious pisser.

Of course, no telling how good/disappointing other teams on the schedule will end up being.

It seems it's always the same thing with LSU every year. If they get good QB play, then it's hard to beat them.

I'll let you in on the secret to watch for. If LSU stops playing like emotional Louisiana people and starts playing like a gritty blue collar Midwestern team, then we are going to be great.

One of my least favorite qualities about LSU has been that they are a "passionate" team that needs to be "up" for a game. They wear their hearts on their sleeves.

This quality is wonderful in regular people and makes Louisiana culture so unique. I absolutely hate it in a football team. I want to see a team that gives maximum effort regardless of record or opponent. Very few missed assignments or penalties. Just grinders who shut their mouths and work. No off the field problems. Kelly always had ND playing that way. If LSU becomes that type of team, the sky is the limit.

And the signs are already starting to show. No academic ineligibility. No off the field issues this off season. Players are eating right and changing their bodies. Get ready.

They are in for a rude fricking awakening.

Good thing their QB play is typically poo.

Since 2007, they have had like 4 QBs that I would say are good/decent.

LSU is typically at least pretty good, with the exception of the last couple of years, so I don’t think that’s difficult for most to accept.

This is very true. Historically we have been incredible inconsistent at times. Just correcting those correctable inconsistencies will help us.

Most folks, including the Vegas lines, disagree. BK was not very successful (70% winning record) at ND playing an annually weak schedule. In 2021 he only played two top ten teams, lost to them both. Only played one other lowly (#18) ranked team all season. He barely beat 4 other terrible teams. He has never played a SEC schedule. Talent? Remains to be seen. ND is preseason ranked at #6, where is LSU ranked? That’s what most football gurus think of the LSU talent level. Money? Lol..LSU is one of the poorest schools in the SEC. with the addition of Texas and OU, LSU is bottom tier at best. And historically if LSU loses a couple of games early they quit the season. So yeah, it’s a long shot, and certainly presumptive to say, “ LSU is going to be pretty good...get over it.” Maybe, but it’s a long shot.

The biggest difference these past 2 years was the train wreck on defense. In the past we have always had above-average to great defenses to carry the team. Ever since CEO dug his hands into it, that side of the ball has been a liability except for the last couple games last season when he was done.

I'm hopeful that the new hire will right that ship but not as hopeful that half our fanbase will give him the time needed to fix it. Half our fanbase are like children, instant gratification or on to the next one.

As far as BK, he wouldn't have made the move if he wasn't hungry for a Natty. You can tell he wants this and isn't coasting into retirement.

I love it

For the past 20 freaking years we've all been in ageeement that midwestern teams can't compete with SEC talent.

What changed?
