We’re going to have spent a quarter billion on this roster by the end of the season.

Brian Kelly buyout $54M (lol)
Kiffin $90M
Staff $90M+
Recruits $50M each season

You’re spending a half billion dollars over the next 5 years on a guy who has gone off the rails at every high pressure job he’s ever been at.

Good luck figs

I'm not sure what's so funny. Since you're making blanket statements and attacking someone's character as if it's an established fact, why not provide some actual proof instead of repeating internet rumors and gossip? Otherwise, it's just speculation. At this point, some of you come across as bigger drama kings than Kiffin ever has.

They don't have any, other than a bunch of tabloid rumors manufactured by Ole Miss fans after Lane left them. You are dealing with a delusional fan base, and the poster you are responding to is by far the most broken among them.

Ole Miss was better than Bama just last season.

Ole Miss is still waiting to appear in their first SEC championship game.

So no, Ole Miss did not have a better season than Alabama last season. Equal? Similar? Yeah. Better? No.

Maybe you could have just spent the 70 million on more and better players

We tried this in 2025. We still sucked.

They advanced further in the playoff, actually beat Georgia in the postseason, and were ranked higher in opponent-adjusted efficiency.

The SECCG is pretty pointless at this point.

Good luck spending less and banking on a DC who has had 1 good defense ever as a HC.

Larry Coker is your ceiling.

Yeah that $87.5 Million buyout would sting quite a bit.

Alabama and Ole Miss both went 1-1 against Georgia last season. Again, similar, equal. Yes, they advanced one game further than Alabama. But Alabama was ranked ahead of them in the SEC standings based on tiebreakers. Again, they were very similar. Ole Miss had a good season. But losing their head coach and offensive coaching staff put a damper on it. And while the SEC conference game doesn’t mean as much as it used to, Ole Miss fans would consider it huge just so they could get that monkey off their back. Around here that is one of the biggest trolls used against them by LSU fans.

Alabama also lost two more games than Ole Miss and suffered multiple blowouts. The playoff is really all that matters anymore. Agree to disagree.

if you can’t buy those things with your football budget your team is fricked.

I applaud them actually. They are doing everything they can to make their fans happy. Can't be condemned, but not exactly sure how they have that much freaking money.
