Worded poorly but they sucked last year. They’ll probably suck worse without those 9 guys

Ah, gotcha.
(Just to clarify, I wasn't trolling with my question. I was genuinely curious).
That's what I figured. I could be wrong, just don't think the schedule sets up well. Ole Miss tended to play several rent a wins to start their years, so they could get their transfers to gel. LSU doesn't have that this year.

But I also wonder if he will stay at LSU for a long haul if he is successful. He hasn't stayed at any other place for an extended time frame, although LSU is more of a landing stop for coaches than a stepping stone, so maybe he will. Any way you slice it, Kiffin will bring excitement where ever he goes, and it will be fun watching him. His personality is transcendent, for better or worse.
I have no idea really, on one hand, he stayed at Ole Miss for 6 years. But he is still Lane, so I wouldn't be shocked if he left. If Texas comes open, does he go there? Maybe the NFL thing is still there as well.
I think in some ways, he gets a bad rap as a "job jumper", if you look at his career, he hasn't moved any more often than some of the guys coaching in the conference today, like Elko, DeBoer, etc.
He's just been a known entity since he was 33 years old.

A loss to what looks to be an awful Clemson team would take the wind out of the sails. I suspect if they don't get too many other losses along the way Kiffy's approval will be fine.
Regardless losing to a good team would just generate some grumbles. Lane has to make damn sure he doesn't lose to a bottom dweller. Drop that late November game to Arkansas, as an example, and the pitchforks come out for a few weeks.

LMK's offensive genius will get EVEN BETTER with LSU recruits. Will be unstoppable.

Yea like 2023 when LSU had the #1 offense with BK.LK is light years ahead of BK on offensive innovation if you don’t think the Tigers will be better with LK you are in denial.Whether that means more wins this season ,who knows.Give Lane a couple of years and LSU will be back to the 700 lb gorilla they were in the 2005- 7 ,2011, 2019, but with more consistency.

I believe there will be more piling on by other fans than LSU.
