Not confident.

LSU is playing as well as any team in the country, but we need to be almost perfect to beat a team that stacks 5 stars like Alabama does.

I'm not confident at all. It took an all world LSU team to beat Bama in 2019....other than that we've had a few teasers (ie last year) but in the end we've always found a way to lose.

Plus with LSUs penchant for falling behind by double digits this year I just am not very optimistic.

Ok OP.... we gotcha... and we as Tiger fans will do our best to never be confident that any team we have can ever beat AAAALLLLAAAAAABBBBBAAAMMMMAAAA.

Would it make you and your other opportunistic fans feel better if LSU just conceded these games in the future. Hopefully that makes you feel better.

nothin. I actually agree with espn on this one and think we have a 20-25% chance of winning. Which is pretty good odds considering our past 13 games and it's just nice to have a meaningful game in november. O yea and this is for west.

The stadium has kept us in and nearly won games we’d have lost by double digits on a neutral field.

Not saying I’m confident we’ll win the game. But it’s a net plus.

I don’t know anyone who’s confident that we will win.

We are just excited.

The atmosphere is always electric, and it’s a damned good time.

I can’t wait to smuggle some whiskey in under my poncho and yell until I’m hoarse.

Not just this year but it seems every game at Tiger Stadium you all are filled with this over confidence. Some are full blown cocky about it as if you guys are invincible at home. Is it the alcohol? Is it the Cajun audacity that nothing gets you down? What is it?

I’m always nervous when Bama plays at Tiger Stadium even with the current win streak because it seems LSU is always just an inch away from winning it. With Bama’s coordinators and with the way this team struggles on the road, imo that also goes in your favor. Are these the reasons you are so confident this time around?

Not confident, but think LSU has a shot to win. So my thoughts are

1) Is this LSU team good enough to win straight up? No. The only teams LSU had since 2012 that had the talent to win straight up were the 2016 and 2019 teams.

2) Does LSU have the talent to compete? Yes,

3) Does LSU have a coach that will get out coached? No

So in light of 1, 2 and 3 above, for LSU to win they need to be at least +2 in the Turnover battle and can not under any circumstances have a Special team give away to Alabama like LSU did vs. FSU and TENN and in fact in addition to being +2 in the TO battle, get a play or 2 in special teams that actually go LSU's way.

The 3rd thing is no major penalty yards for LSU and hope that Bama continues its penalty habits that they have had on the road this year at Texas, at Arkansas and at TENN, all 3 games with double digit penalties and 100 plus yards (3 different crews, 1 Big12 and 2 different SEC crews).

So in summary I think LSU needs 2 of the 3 above to win the game.

I don't think any of us our truly confident, but Bama doesn't SEEM as dominant as most years and we actually have a QB who can run, which has been Bama's weakness over the years. It also feels like our team is finally starting to figure things out offensively so most of us think that maybe we have a chance this year. The UT game still lingers in the back of my mind though, so we'll see what happens. Either way, we are much better than the "experts" told us we would be so there's that.

Most of us have some confidence, but we also know that we are a flawed team facing a great QB. We know we have a chance to win, but we also know we have to give ourselves a chance to compete. We didn't do that against UT. We made silly mistakes early in the game and UT made us par for that. If we avoid that we have a shot. All I want from this game is to continue to show improvement and to have a chance to win in the 4th quarter

You are making stuff up. I can’t remember the last time the LSU fanbase was confident in beating Bama anywhere. Trying to create a false narrative so your fan base and team can feel disrespected is beneath a program like Alabama. Stop embarrassing yourself

Unless you’re playing you shouldn’t be scared of a team. If Alabama isn’t in your head with a 55-26-5 record and 10 of 11 then maybe they should be.

What I've learned over the years, is that when Alabama has problems and a lesser team, like LSU is on the upswing. Go with the team that has the hot hand.

Saban has two undefeated teams in 14 years at Alabama. There are examples every year of a bama team with problems bludgeoning teams like this to death, so you haven't learned much besides confirmation bias from the losses- The foundation is crumbling every time we lose. Bama Has a Nick Saban problem, yadda yadda

The same road team that has shown up for almost two full seasons now will show up again this weekend.

I do tend to agree here, I'm just not sure if LSU can run the ball well enough to pull the upset.

LSU fans should be pretty optimistic here

Look, I'm not one that lends a pile of credence to historical data, but some facts are hard to ignore. Alabama absolutely owns LSU in Tiger Stadium. Alabama has a better winning percentage on that piece of property than LSU does. I'm not talking about head-to-head where it's a boatracing, I mean that Alabama wins a higher percentage of games in that stadium on the whole than LSU does on the whole. That's quite the data point. Optimistic is a strong choice of words

2015 was the last time y'all were certain you were better than us (we beat you like a snare drum). 2019 y'all were justifiably confident, but there was more cautiousness to it.
