One of the greatest quotes by anyone to ever suit up in purple and gold...and the main reason why Jontre Kirklin will always be one of my favorite Tigers...ever.
That whole post game press conference he didn't hang his head for one second after the loss. He was just appreciative of his time at LSU, thankful to the fans and in awe of how blessed he was to get to have a career at LSU. Wish we had 100 more with that kind of attitude and love for the Tigers. These quitters on others teams should watch Jontres post game speech and be ashamed.

Did I not clearly state that I wasn't breaking news? My title says minor update. I've never once claimed I've got some incredible news source. If I get a little info I share it. I've stated and will state again...I'm not an insider. I simply "know a guy," He's shot me straight before, I'm trusting that he is now.

My comment would be a hedge IF I was calling my shot in the OP. I'm not at all. Even if Kiffin is announced tomorrow you won't find me on here crowing about it. I haven't broken anything on Kiffin.

In fact, the only reason I posted anything at all was because of the "no backup plan" part. That's the only new news.

He just confirmed what everyone else has been saying for days now. LSU is all in on Kiffin.

ETA: He did contradict what others here have been saying about Kiffin to LSU. He said nothing has been signed yet as of 7pm last night.

We didnt discuss amount but I'm sure it's high as giraffe ears.

He did add one bit of news that's not shocking in the least ( we all know how this firing and search have been run) , but still a little discouraging to hear.
Namely, LSU has no back up plan. It's all in for CLK and then figure it out later if this ends up being a Jimmy Sexton special.

I strongly suspect that it's Jimmy doing Jimmy Sexton things but once again LSU is at the plate swinging like Ol Casey for the fences.

If I hear definitively one way or another I'll post, but I doubt I get a scoop on this before the real players break the story. This will move with lightning speed once all the pieces are in place OR we get left at the altar.

I would say if I knew. If I hear something that I think is concrete I'll start a new thread for sure. For now I'm enjoying all of the "ink is dry on Kiffin to LSU" posts.

He's the biggest troll in CFB. To me, getting a read on him is like trying to nail jello to a wall and yet everyone is acting like he's a lock. Also, it will cost even more to get him away from Ole Miss now that they're tasting success like they haven't since JFK was president. He's got Ole Miss at 10-1 with their only loss at Georgia! Pretty incredible.

Someone recently posted a pic of him with his daughter and some others at her wedding. He was the only one sitting down and it looked like his sitting down was not voluntary....he did not look super healthy or completely there mentally. Kind of had a far off gaze.
