If Blake Baker's past performances against mobile QBs is any indication, then OM blows the doors off of LSU.
I hope LSU's defense is indeed way better than it has been under Baker. Even if it is, it's still not a guarantee to beat OM. Great QBs who don't make mistakes are hard to defend.

P Will has doubled Pyburns numbers he had last year in 2 games. Dottery and Whit in the middle may be the best ILB duo in the country

Never said Benefield was a safety. I did assume Haulcy was a CB based on his coverage stats, but I would stand by my point that Haulcy > Benefield and Delane > Pickett based on the data so far.

Ole Miss didn't blow the doors off of LSU last year.

Dottery had a PFF of 95.1 last week, best LB grade in the country. Having him playing next to Weeks in the middle is game changing, you got the SEC's 2 leading tacklers from last year both in the middle of your defense.
As was mentioned, Princewell has 5 sacks through 2 games. The SEC record is 12 for a full season.
Our defense will come ready to play for sure. Chambliss will probably make some huge plays either throwing or running, but hard to see OM putting up more than 21 or so

You read my OP? I think personnel matters way more than coaching in today’s game.
Yeah, Kiffin’s system brings the best out of players, but we have a coach from his tree running the same system so it’s not like we are going ground and pound. And we have the best QB/RB/WR1 combo in at least 20 years for our program.
Over time, Kiffin may be the most important part of an offense because he stays and players rotate through. But for 1 game, I’d rather have JD Baker and Winston Watkins than Kiffin and Johntay Cook
