My opinion of the LSU defense is clouded a bit given what Georgia Sothern's defense did to Clemson. Not much different than proclaiming Georgia's offense as "all world" because of what we have done to the 2 teams we played. Clemson is really, really bad. They managed one TD against Georgia Southern.

LSU is better on D. No question. The pass rush is relentless when it was adequate last year. LB is much better. Secondary is only a little better but still very good and and will improve week to week.
Coaching is going to be the biggest difference. Kiffin/Weiss know Golding and how to exploit that D. If the Oline can run block and Leavitt can avoid turnovers is really the only question.
I expect a 31-20 LSU win.
