Ok. Take Harris. The thread asked what the weakness was. I'm sure being dead last in the league would be a weakness

Harris will pick your secondary apart assuming that you can stop Fournette at all.

Here's your dead last:

And in conference games only:

Just because we havent had the need to throw it 40 times a game doesnt mean we havent been EFFICIENT throwing the football. Harris has been deadly efficient this year throwing the football, and for the "i only care about yards" guys like you, he's thrown for 200+ the last 3 games with only about 22 attempts per game.

1 special teams kick coverage
2 penalties
3 blown coverage (hopefully starters returning corrects this)

4 years ago - who gives a shite about what happened 4 years ago. We don't have any of the same players playing for us anymore - I think Bama is in the same boat. Painfully dumb response. Typical though - I've come to expect this kind of shite from Bama fans.

LSU fans consistently mention the weakness in their secondary which can allow some big break passes from our offense. But that balances out with Bama's weakness on the OLine. Your secondary may blow coverage but Bama's OLine will allow the Tigahs to pressure Coker and when that happens and the play design breaks down he has a tendency to panic and throw the ball directly at purple & yellow jerseys wherever they may be downfield. Pressure Coker and don't worry about that secondary. Every time the OLine crumbles and he's being pursued in the backfield and is scrambling us Bama fans almost pop from acute blood pressure spikes cause we know what's coming. It's sloppy and has happened in almost every game. Interceptions and sacks. God damn I hope our OLine comes to play Saturday. RMFT and here's to a good game in the annual SEC Super Bowl!

And how efficient has that offense been? Being ranked 1st vs 7th in yards doesnt tell you much. LSU is still second in in SEC in ypg and ppg, but 13th nationally in turnover differential. Ole Miss doesnt rank top 50 in that category and it cost them versus Memphis.

Bama will probably have good starting field position every time they get ball. Special Teams are anything but special and they haven't gotten any better. They don't stay in their lanes, they stop halfway down the field and wait for the returner to come to them and they whiff on the tackle...it is disconcerting and it is going to cost us a game at some point.

Penalties at the absolute worst time possible - momentum killers. Can be to undisciplined and unfocused at times. Big worry.

Shutting down our run game will hurt us bad and will probably cause us to lose the game. We are, as we have always been, a power run team. Harris has progressed way beyond what I expected - he has been very good, especially with his decision making. But, he has only had one real challenge - Gators - but he did well against them, so...don't know.

At Bryant-Denny is also going to affect the LSU. Home field advantage is big with both of these teams. Our guys feast on the fan energy and when that's not there in great numbers - it takes the intensity down a notch or two.

Going to be a great game - one of my great friends is a Bama fan, but not the annoying kind - LOL. He and I can have reasonable conversations and we are both very anxious about this game - both teams have certain areas that is going to hurt them. He does not like Coker and has complained about him in every game and nearly committed suicide in the Ole Miss fluke game.

Total yards do matter. But as I keep alluding to and it keeps getting ignored, what happens when LSU gets down two scores with 6 min left and can't rely on the run?

Really? That is your scenario? Well, if Chad Kelly is so great why could he not lead Ole Miss back against Florida when they were down 2 scores with 45 minutes to play?

To the Ole Miss fan claiming we have no passing game:

Player Att/G Yds/G TD Rating INT
Chad Kelly 36.3 317.3 20 151.35 12
B Harris 18.3 156.9 9 153.85 0

So, looking at the data .. we basically have half the attempts, half the yards and half the TD's. Means they would be close to the same with the same number of attempts.

Also looking at the data .. they have close to the same rating .. BUT .. one of them has 12 interceptions .. the other 0.

I'll take the one that doesn't throw it to the other team.

I'm more worried about the secondary than anything. We are too talented in the secondary to keep on allowing busted assignments and letting teams throw the ball. Now the good thing is Bama can't really throw the ball and our front 7 is pretty good. This will be a game in the trenches and whoever is able to throw the ball will win the game

These for sure, along with the ability of the LBs to cover OJ Howard.

LSU has an elite cover LB in Debo Jones. He has good coverage skills for a safety much less a LB.

I honestly cannot ever recall this happening. We're either 3 scores or more down and were never in the game to begin with, or we're somewhere between 1 score behind and 1 score ahead, and are grinding it out on the final drive for a win, or a loss, thanks Chavis.

I am not sure you could be more wrong if you tried. There is no logic in comparing the RB by committee group of 2011 to what Fournette is doing. This post was assinine.

bamas biggest weakness, and really the cause of pretty much all our offensive trouble, is having no idea from play to play if the offensive line is going to look like the best in college football or like they have never played a down together. they do this multiple times, sometime on back to back plays. 2nd biggest weakness seems to be 1st down cutesy play calling that nobody is falling for. i cant cant the number of 1st down plays that went for negative yards when if we would have just run a base running play for 3 or 4 yards we likely would end up keeping the drive going.

Actually...... Home field is not an advantage in this series. It's the exact opposite. Bama wins in Baton Rouge more often than not and LSU wins in Tuscaloosa more often than not. Since 1980, LSU is 12-5 in Tuscaloosa and Birmingham.

This year's Bama team has played better on the road than at home.
