If you really think this, I am sorry, but you were not paying attention. I just think night games should be equally spread between all the teams. I don't expect that would be controversial.

lol who is going to tune it at 6:30 to watch Moo St. play anyone?

Your head coach is the one that started the conversation about it when he coached your rival.

Why have LSU fans become convinced that they're bigger than the entire rest of the conference and deserve to get whatever they want? They complain about Texas and Bama but they're the only school I see that insists upon special treatment for themselves.

Saban bitched about it when he was at Bama, too.

Why is it that the Fighting Marie Laveau's insist on playing at night?

We were the 1st to install permanent lights; we invented the night game as a tradition. LSU having carte blanche to nighttime football is no more controversial than other teams ringing obnoxious cowbells.
Not hard to understand.

To you maybe. But a tradition that we started before we even founded the SEC does mean something. Nobody whined about it until they all wanted to be on TV at night so they can be like LSU.

I’m going to assume that she managed to use two completely separate contexts of the word “we” in that sentence and that you don’t actually believe LSU started the SEC.

Also… Once again… No. The fact that you were one of the first to have night games means absolutely nothing to anyone else. You weren’t even the first night college football game by like 40 years.

We will allow you to still hold the tradition for smelling like days-old flop sweat, though.

We’ll give up night games when:
—Bama and TN play on a date other than the third Saturday in October
—FL and UGA play on a date other than the last Saturday in October and play home and home
—Texas and OU play their game on a home and home basis
—All conference-based in state rivalries are played at the beginning of the season

One very important thing you are missing with this is both schools in these scenarios are in favor of it. Neither team views it as a disadvantage. LSU playing night games solely benefits LSU. Every school feels their team has an advantage when the game is at night. The atmosphere is just better, the fans are rowdier.

The SEC has no obligation to schedule LSU home games at night.

This has happened within the past 10 years multiple times.

Tennessee even got a bye week on the 3rd Saturday while Alabama played.

Looks like you gave it up when ABC/ESPN said you would.

No one complained about what time LSU games were in the 90's and early 2000's? You think maybe because most games weren't on tv back then, and every team got to pick their game times at home if TV wasn't airing them?

Of course no one complained back then. Duh.

Entitled PoS coach. Entitled fan base. What could possibly go wrong? I used to not mind LSU, but now I root for their failure more than freaking Texas.

Nauseating.

Really DGAF about night games. Traffic sucks so badly that you’re not getting home until like 2am.

2:30 in late October/November is dreamy

The whole mysticism that is supposed to be LSU at night is so overblown. didnt understand it when LSU was good and didnt understand it when they have been bad. Such an overrated venue

I've always had a soft spot for LSU because I lived in Louisiana a few years as a kid.

That soft spot is getting smaller and smaller as time goes on. LSU fans are either trying to rub their balls in everyone's face talking about how they are going to do this and that, or they are playing the victim.

It's the worst fan base in college football and it's not even close anymore. Obviously there are still some cool and reasonable fans, but they are drowned in a sea of delusion and pure hate by the rest. And that's currently being fueled by their own HC and even higher up.

We'll see, but I'll be surprised if it doesn't end badly.

I don’t remember anyone in the SEC ever complaining about LSU frequently playing at night until recently.
Do you seriously not remember Lane Kiffin whining and complaining about LSU playing night games when he was at OM?

The LSU fans complain all the time about Bama-Tennessee.........Thought the rivalry should be dropped. Now that Tennessee has won some they seem to be alright with it. Weird! Where you been? Ha!
