LSU & Night Games prior to this decade

I don’t remember anyone in the SEC ever complaining about LSU frequently playing at night until recently.

No one bitched about when I was in school in the 90s.
Or in the 2000s when TD started.
Or the 2010s.

In fact, most SEC fans got hyped when their game in TS got scheduled at night. They saw it as an opportunity to see the best atmosphere in college football.

The lights at TS went up in 1931. We played night games until TV contracts forced us out of doing that.

We’ll give up night games when:
—Bama and TN play on a date other than the third Saturday in October
—FL and UGA play on a date other than the last Saturday in October and play home and home
—Texas and OU play their game on a home and home basis
—All conference-based in state rivalries are played at the beginning of the season

I’ve never once heard an LSU fan ever complain about other schools’ traditions when it comes to scheduling games. Ever.

We’re always going to get more night games than the rest of the league. It’s our tradition and every single person who posts here knows it. TV loves coming to LSU at night. It’s not going to change.
