Climb back under a rock? I doubt you even went to Alabama, or college in general for that matter. Total ignorance to label UGA as irrelevant in this current day.
OP, I think Bama fans and UGA fans are being respectful because
a) both share a mutual distaste of AU and that tends to bring us together in certain moments
b) neither really knows what will happen Monday. Sure there are some blinded by loyalty but any sane individual can see this game going either way.
"Bama's defense is too good."
"Bama's offense sucks, though!"
"Saban is 11-0 against assistants"
"UGA is hungrier and Bama already avenged the Clemson loss"
"Bama lost last year and won't lose again"
etc....
This game can be spun in so many different ways. At the end of the day, no one really knows. Thats why Vegas wins and we dont.

I’m sure LSU and Alabama didn’t hate each other near as bad, even though they played each other every year, before Nick Saban was hired in Tuscaloosa and starting stealing recruits and whipping LSU’s arse on the field.

I have to disagree. My posting privileges were suspended on Tiger Rant after Les Miles was fired after a poster trashed his character and record. While it was likely time for LSU to move on from Miles, the man’s character and record are above reproach so I posted a rebuttal. In return I was attacked and kicked off the board and still am to this day. Always enjoyed following LSU but the majority of Tiger fans in here suck. Auburn fans on the other hand, while they have their share of buffoons, are generally okay on this board.

And this topic is a bit silly. Al and Ga do not play each other enough to really hate each other, and they do not really seem to compete too much head to head in recruiting.
However, I expect a lot of acrimony to emerge during the game. Especially if GA wins.

Hey, I am only going off what Bama posters said when it came to Kirby's recruiting.
Many Alabama posters said they do not push too hard for GA recruits so Kirby was not that big of a deal for Alabama recruiting.

Small point, but this isn't really true. It's probably the only area where UGA and Alabama are in constant competition.
