Bama fans on here spend all year trying to remind everyone UT is a legit rival.

Never seen so much huffing over semantics- it's just a word that is distracting from what has been an awesome matchup b/c these teams have had so much elite talent lately. That's why viewers like it- same reason NFL scouts like it

All you Gumps screaming that this is not a rivalry are comical. It does not matter what you think. These players think of it as a rivalry. The casual LSU fan that doesn't get on message boards thinks it's a rivalry. Y'all may like us, but we do not like y'all. And I can't wait for this team with a barely competent quarterback to put your team in the dirt.

An Auburn fan posting this is just priceless! I'm not sure that the human experience can present a bigger example of hypocrisy than this.

10 10 win seasons, 5 SECCG appearances (should have been 6). MSU and OM have combined for 8 10 wins seasons in their entire history.

Well, you certainly are getting my old juices flowing. Great stuff! Sitting here remembering being in the dome several years ago. Bama up 21-0 and as I looked over to the LSU side from where I was sitting, an unbelievable site! It was emptying out faster than a wall full of cockroaches after being sprayed with Bug spray. My wife and I laughed and laughed. I said to my wife, these people think we are rivals! She said, no they are not. True rivals fight till the bitter end. See, y'all are the ones screaming that it is a rivalry. And though some of you are trolling I am sure. I am simply trying my best to explain that while it is a great and competitive series. It is not a rivalry

The fans make a rivalry. I was raised my entire life to hate the color orange, to hat Tennessee and Auburn. I've raised my kids the same way. Purple and gold are perfectly acceptable and LSU is always a great competition n a great venue. It's always a tough, hard fought game - nothing more/nothing less and NOT a true rivalry.

Lol please... LSU's biggest rival is Ole Miss. A couple of y'all want it to be Bama, but it's not. You know why? Because Bama fans don't think you're rivals. If the other team doesn't care, it's not a rivalry..... And congrats on winning your Super Bowl vs us this year. Bama's gonna win tonight.
