Bama is 70th. I guess they suck too, right?

The difference is Bama faced UL, Ole Miss, and A&M. While none are great, but all have explosive passing attacks.

It's not an intriguing matchup when LSU can pin their ears back a run for 350 yards, if they smart.

LSU has built leads of 27-3 and 24-0 twice in the first half. Teams are going to throw to catch up. They have given up a few big plays at times games aren’t fully decided which isn’t good.... but giving up 300 in the air if you are totally stopping the run, picking a few and the other team needing 50 attempts to do it isn’t necessarily all that bad.

Thisright here is what you call “bullshite excuses”. UL and A&M are trash schools and Ole Miss is on probation.

And that INT shouldve been a catch. LaTech receivers were lousy with the ball early Saturday. Many turnovers have been on them, and I think both were saturday.

Some context, since raw yardage totals are often misleading.

Opponents are averaging 36.8 attempts against LSU, which is tied for 15th most in the nation (almost as if building early leads has forced opponents to throw it a lot, crazy right)

LSU is averaging 6.6 yards per passing attempt, which is 52nd in the country (certainly not great, I'll admit)

LSU has 6 interceptions, tied for 12th best in the country

LSU has surrendered a 55% completion rate, tied for 39th

LSU is 15th in passing efficiency D in the 1st half, and 88th in the 2nd half.

LSU has surrendered 1 passing TD in the 1st half (tied for 10th best) and 4 passing TDs in the 2nd half (tied for 90th best)

LSU has led by 17+ points in three of their four games.

One could almost say that LSU's backups are giving up a bulk of the yards in garbage time after LSU has already built up a significant lead.

A&M isn't in the Top 100, and dead last in the SEC:

That's what happens when you go up by 24 points in the 2nd quarter in 75% of your games. LSU subs in young guys to preserve the starters, and their opponents resort to passing almost every down in a hopeless effort to catch up. Try watching more football.

Did you just lump Louisville in there?

Somebody needs to check on things before making assumptions

More fun numbers that support this theory -

487 of the 976 total passing yards LSU has surrendered this season have come with LSU leading by at least 14 points.
