Clemson was 7-6 last year and lost the prestigious Pinstripe Bowl.
They aren't even ranked and the game was at LSU.
This is supposed to be impressive because Clemson was good 10 years ago?

Ok...last year we barley beat that 7-6 clemson team and lost the fricking texas bowl. I think any fan base would be excited about that kind of off-season improvment

SP+ has Clemson at 23.
So going by SP+, LSU dismantled the 23rd team by 6 touchdowns and Ole Miss had to scrape by the 27th best team who had an inept QB and horrible defense.

I just don’t understand the double standard. When other fanbases get excited after their team looks good and wins convincingly, it’s called enthusiasm. When LSU fans do the same thing, suddenly we’re “clowns” who need to slow down. Why is that?

LSU scored more points in the first half of the Clemson game than we did in any game last season. That’s against 3 cupcakes included.
LSU allowed fewer than 150 yards. The only reason Clemson scored was because our 3rd and 4th teams were in on defense.
LSU beat a middle of the road ACC team like they were a rent a win team.
All of these things are reasons for extreme excitement
