"Texas is back folks!" was pretty loud. But the Vince and Colt years were before I went to school.

I was coming to raise the question of whether the UGA play was louder. Given there was no build up, it was just immediate, massive noise.

Auburn has a lot of them because we have won so many games over the decades I've been watching them in last minute "miracle" fashion. Had two amazingly loud "moments" in 2013 with the Kick Six and Prayer at Jordan Hare (and the latter of two was probably the loudest).

Surprisingly though, the loudest specific moment I ever witnessed was the Auburn Florida game in 1989. Came down to the last 30 seconds, when Reggie Slack his Shane Wasden in the endzone for the go ahead score. I think it may have even been 4th down. To this day, I still can't tell you how Wasden got so open in the endzone. Crowd absolutely erupted over that play, because Florida had really beat us up on defense all day long.

Bonfire game in ‘99 when Brian Gamble recovered the fumble to seal the game against the Longhorns. Was in school then and just a release of emotions for Students and all Aggies in the stadium. Went from one of the quietest moments (great tribute from Longhorn band at halftime) to loudest moments later in the 4th quarter. Sorry for the low quality video.

I was going to say the same. I don’t think I will ever experience another sports moment in person like that again. Pretty incredible. And the UT band was amazing that day. Made me proud to be a Texan.

Croyle to Prothro

What happened to Tyrone Prothro still pains me to this day. Think he had the stuff to have a solid NFL career. WRs simply didn't dominate us back in that era like he did. Nowadays everyone gets torched on the regular lol.
I'll never forget that one catch he made.

That UGA Arkansas game is Athens was very loud. Arkansas couldn’t handle the noise.
But the 2022 UGA Tennessee game in Sanford Stadium was even louder. The decibel meter on the matrix board was hitting in the 130s at times. Never heard it that loud at any game before and I’ve been at UGA/LSU night games sitting under that overhang at LSU when they were actually good.

the first play of the 05 Bama vs Florida game. Croyle to Prothro for 75 yards.
2nd most consequential play of Prothro’s entire career

most consequential came later that same day

and yet i’ve had Bama fans defend that playcall knowing it permanently destroyed the prospects of one of the most electrifying WRs in their history to that point

Takedown of #1 Nebraska in 2000, Derrick Strait's pick 6 sealed it and this is the loudest I've ever heard our home crowd

I will always wonder what could have happened with Brodie if we had just given him even a decent OL to play behind.

Texas vs Houston 1990.

We HATED the Cougars and the success they were having. Houston was good, damn good.

Even with all the design faults of the stadium at the time, and our fan base noted for its ability to not be very rambunctious, we collectively let our hair down and absolutely blew that joint up.

Absolutely the single best atmosphere at any Texas game, ever.

I was there sitting in the end zone with my son, who was 6 years old at the time, and his first Tiger game. Incredible!

2003 first offensive play for LSU. Intercepted for a td. Quietest after Laquon Treadwell's injury in 2014 vs Auburn.
