He is awesome. Seriously. He played well, got hurt, lost the job to Trinidad and then later in the season got thrust into the Oklahoma game in the redzone and overthrew a couple of wide recievers due to nerves, adrenaline, whatever. It was a tough spot. He just needs some consistent playing time and he is going to be awesome for Mizzou.

Funnily enough the reason Simmons got hurt at Kentucky was because Lane and Charlie kept running him even after he had already taken a beating

They broke Corral's and Dart's legs, too. Chambliss was Kiffin's first QB that wasn't hobbled by the end of the season.

Starting down a road that converts donors who currently give you money for free into shareholders that you have to pay off still seems like lunacy

Shareholders can lose money too so if boosters become "investors" then they can get away with contributing more without expecting a monetary return. Think of it as the pre-NIL athletes who got paid by boosters for a job they never showed up for.

They paid a huge buyout, paid a ton for the most wanted HC this year, made their coaching staffs one of highest paid in CFB...so, no. Not at all. Do not seem broke.

Kelly, Kiffin and one of the highest paid coaching staffs in CFB are not broke. This much is certain.

We hired him and decided to pay him $3 million+ when he would've taken the job for $1.5 mil a year.

I made a joke to a buddy at the time they they probably came to Matt at the end of the coaching search and said, "Matt, it's going to be you and it's going to be 3 million dollars a year." And Matt responded with, "Well, if I take out a second mortgage and my brothers help out I can probably come up with the money."

Do people really believe that he is a coke head? Is there evidence of this?

Other than Ole Miss sending him to rehab, no.

Funny thing is Saban told everyone EXACTLY how all of this would play out, portal included.

He said the rich would get richer which was totally wrong. When he said it, he meant that schools with a "rich" history would get more and better players but what's actually happening is that literally the rich are getting richer in that schools that aren't traditional blue bloods but are willing to invest in NIL are quickly taking over. He was smart to get out.

Florida screwed up by firing Mullen right before NIL really heated up and nullified his lack of recruting prowess.

Eli when the cop asked him what Archie would think about him getting arrested for public drunkenness, "Archie who?".

Are those bad seasons worth it?

The bad seasons are worth it.
