Losing CBS was a huge blow imo

ESPN and fox broadcasts are garbage in comparison regardless if you like Gary or not. SEC on CBS just feels right. I get nauseous when i see a big ten game on it in comparison.
Tune in to see the next great QB in Nico at 1 pm on ABC though.

Getting away from Gary was worth it. He sucks beyond words.

Their overall presentation can't be matched though.

I never understood their undying dedication to GD.

Something is off with this game. Has low energy and very low production value. Seems very flat.

Terrible take.
Losing the best TV platform for college football for the SEC just so you don’t get your feelings hurt when Gary compliments the other team is absolute bush league.

I agree with this 100%. Fox is better than ESPN as well.

Losing CBS is not a good thing. Say what you want about Gary, Nessler is a top notch announcer. Unfortunately the new generation of announcers are cookie cutter guys who focus on perfect enunciation to the point it is robotic. The overall presentation from CBS is unmatched.

Too many folks were getting to watch the game for free. (Your local CBS affiliate via free over-the-air digital antenna.)
They can't have that!
Got to pay for internet and a subscription service which means more money for everybody. Except the consumer.
It won't be long before there are NO free viewing options for sports.
That's the long game. Suck more money out of the viewers.

People showing up to collect their checks just like every job. Caring costs extra.

Every game on ESPN feels like a MAC Tuesday Night Game of the Week.

Agree.
I even like the 4+ hour long games.

ESPN coverage is low budget tier. They seriously need to revamp their entire style and everything. Bad camera angle placements as well. So many things that need to be improved upon fir a good final product.

The play-by-play and commentary are so much worse on CBS than ESPN/ABC. Gary loves carrying water for the refs when they make bad calls, it’s wild.

sure we'll miss the production quality - but CBS is the real loser - they paid ungodly $$$ for the 3rd & 4th best big1t8en games each week
at least Gary will get to go back to his campus at Purdue a lot - Brad can finally gtfo Atlanta and go home to Minnesota too -

The Citrus Bowl broadcast quality is horrid.

ESPN’s cost cutting measures were glaringly obvious this season.
