You’ve proven to be in a lot of pain over Kiffin the last week.

There was a discussion about asking for a health check being done on you.

Stay away from the ledge kid, it’s going to be alright.

Auburn officially offered today - according to Ole Miss sources (on3 and 247 mods)

If true, then that's likely the final nail. Nobody typically offers unless positive the prospective coach will accept.

Then again, Kiffin is weird like that.

Turned very quick to

“Kiffin is overrated!” “Kiffin won’t win shite!” “Kiffin is a POS!”

I will be sad to see this coaching search come to an end, the melts have been on another level

Look what happened to Auburn football when those last 3 hiring went bad. One got lucky but got fired after a couple of years later. Gus was around because he beat Nick Saban from time to time. That is what kept him from getting fired sooner. Then Harsin got fired before his he was able to complete his second year.

as somebody who stood up for Harsin at every turn......he never should have been hired. He was extremely inept at his job. The proof on the field the last three weeks shows that.

What does that even mean—“it’s scripted?”
What exactly is scripted?

And by "scripted", he meant Kiffin has scripted the whole thing and is just doing a giant troll job on everyone and will probably sign his extension with OM on Wednesday night, working the OM fan base and players into a fever pitch of excitement for the Egg Bowl on Thursday night. Well played, Lane

Probably means his conversation with Dart seemed scripted and intentionally vague about AU job.

But I have no sauces

Across 5 jobs, Kiffin has demonstrated he will jump in less than 3 years.

I feel like this "jumping jobs" storyline gets way overblown.

Yeah, he jumped from Tennessee to USC after a year, but USC is a better program historically and Kiffin had previously coached there.

He was fired by Al Davis and the Raiders.

He was fired by USC and left on tarmac.

He rehabilitated under Saban.

Proved he could be a head coach again at FAU.

Left FAU for a better job at Ole Miss. Was he supposed to stay at FAU forever?

Now, if he leaves Ole Miss for Auburn, maybe the "jumping jobs" storyline becomes more legitimate.

All right, Ole Miss fans - historically and genetically I'm wired to HATE you. It is what it is. But don't be too worried about the possibility of Kiffin leaving you for Auburn. Kiffin is a good grade B coach, but he hasn't proven he's a top tier coach that can bring home serious hardware.

Go find a better coach and let Auburn pay out the nose to be above average. And... you might want to consider adding a clause in all future coaches' contracts that they must forfeit any bonuses owed but not yet paid if they leave for Auburn. (This is the SECOND time Auburn has gone to poach one of your coaches. Tubberville being the first.)

I honestly don’t think there is a school in the SEC that would have not fired Harsin at least after this season after what he was doing to the program, and I would not have blamed them either.

1. Dykes
2. Arvanda
3. Rhule
4. Herman

Would all be home run hires. I’m not convinced TCU / Baylor will pony up the money to pay their guy 10M+, but if they are let’s see it. Otherwise one of these four will look excellent in powdered blue.

Did your source say where Kiffin is going? I still don't think it's Auburn.

Rhule would be a great hire for OM. That would be my first call.

Would not touch Herman. What happened at UT had nothing to do with their boosters. The man is borderline Harsin and I wouldn’t want that for my program. His players hated him so much they were negatively recruiting against him.

Dykes isn’t leaving TCU after one year with his team probably heading to the playoffs, plus its been said he wants to stay in TX.

OM isn’t getting Aranda. Baylor already flexed at Nebraska and told them they would beat any offer.

Dykes never leaves after one year well except the last job he had and left after a year. The writing is on the wall for the big 12. Half their revenue is walking out of the door next year, but don’t worry you have *checks notes* houston and cincy coming in to replace Oklahoma and Texas. Tcu big 12 payout about to drop considerably, so they suddenly have boosters willing to close that 25 M a year gap?

Nebraska??

Baylor needs to add about ~30 M to Dave’s contract. They might, but jimmy sexton will definitely put the screws to them.

I repeat: make Tcu/Baylor cut huge checks then offer rhule.

Get rid of that powder blue. Y'all's deep dark blue helmets with the blood red center stripe look pretty damned sharp. No need to have anything different than those.
