It wasn't a conference game but I once saw Derrick Thomas take over a pretty big game vs PSU. They just couldn't seem to block him on every key play of the game. Shaun Alexander vs LSU comes to mind too.

Didn't Shawn Alexander run for about a mile on LSU one night down in Red Stick?

You know, I told Crisp to stop exaggerating at least a million times now.

Cam Newton vs Alabama 2010

Fairley and the rest of the defense made some seriously great plays in that game though.

The Tigers were down by 20 points when the 4th quarter started. Faulk was awesome in that 4th quarter although I do recall Rondell Mealy scoring a TD.

In retrospect, it looks as if Alexander didn't run for a mile that entire season much less a single game.

Of course, this does bring into question whether or not the Alabama fanbase actually knows how many yards are in a mile or not.

Damn dude, it's an exaggeration for comedic effect, it was not meant to be taken seriously.

2017 Texas Bowl

You may remember this from the game..

The MVP of that game?
Michael Dickson, Punter

That’s right.. our Punter won the MVP and he actually deserved it. I was at the game and our offense was pretty bad. It was a joke that we should just go ahead and bring Dickson out on 1st down..
quote:

Michael Dickson, who won the Ray Guy Award as the nation's best punter, was selected the game's Most Valuable Player, making him the first non-offensive player to be Texas Bowl MVP and the second punter ever to win MVP of a bowl game, joining Florida State's Graham Gano, the MVP of the 2008 Champs Sports Bowl.

Dickson, who will forego his senior season to declare for the NFL draft, punted 11 times for 452 yards, with four landing inside the 5. He was shocked that he won the honor. "I didn't believe it when they told me at first," he said. "I was like, `Wait, why am I going on stage?' It's still kind of sinking in now."

Missouri coach Barry Odom said he's never seen a punting performance like Dickson's. "I guess that's why he won that award," Odom said. "He's pretty good and they played well off of it."
