That’s a good take. BK at least has some experience working with limited resources and has been rising rather than declining in the portal/NIL era.

If Mizzou had to hire BK or Jimbo, are you saying you'd rather Jimbo?

I’d take the better coach. Jimbo.

1. Brian Kelly 2. Oops that’s all. Honorable mention: Bronco Mendenhall (he’ll qualify next year)

Lulz. Another dick-dangling Mizzou fan that can’t move on. We took the W. We took your coaches. They cry like scorned broads.

If you think for one second that a program that won titles with Ed Ogeron and Les Miles is worried about Brian Kelly, you know, an actual adult, keep dangling away, sweetheart.

You took the W alright. By going the distance against an inferior Wisconsin team.

I love that this is the fallback response for LSU.

"We've won with shitty coaches before. Why not try to do it again".

The lack of awareness on this board is why I keep coming back.

Not to mention, they turned on those coaches like a snake. After they were told years ahead of time those coaches were shitty and just coasting on what Saban built.

They never learn.

There are only like 5 or so HCs with 20 years of being HC in the FBS.

True, but there are a lot of coaches with less than 20 years of experience who can claim NY6 wins.

You’re in luck, he’s available

I was going to say he is not because he isn’t going to work for free until 66 just for a shot of continuing his career beyond then.
Then, I looked it up and discovered his buyout had zero offsets. He can go back to work right now and keep 100% of the buyout money flowing in. Is this the new normal?

It's somewhat amazing that Notre Dame hasn't won a major bowl game in 30 years, that streak long precedes Brian Kelly and has continued in his absence.

I think Notre Dame is often overrated by the media so they end up in postseason matchups vs much better teams and they don't have the skill position guys to matchup with those teams.

Brian Kelly got Alabama in the national championship game, Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl, Clemson in the 2018 CFP, and Alabama again in 2020.

Freeman had a good chance to break the streak in 2021 vs Oklahoma State but Notre Dame choked the game away.

Prior to BK, they had LSU in the Sugar Bowl, Ohio State in the Fiesta, Oregon State in the Fiesta, Florida State in the Orange, and Fiesta vs Colorado.

Most of those games weren't within one score and many were beatdowns.

Their last major bowl win was the Cotton Bowl vs A&M at the conclusion of the 1993 season, they actually beat A&M in the Cotton Bowl the year prior also.

Ed Orgeron never had a winning season before he got to LSU

Nick Saban had never won a bowl game.

Les Miles had a .500 conference record.

Notre Dame hadn’t won any bowl game since 1994 before Kelly.
