It’s going to be fun to talk shite that first season when Oklahoma doesn’t fail miserably like every expects them to. Watching a bunch of turds that have the majority of their personal identity wrapped up in a fricking college football conference have to make excuses for when OU hangs with the best the SEC has to offer, is going to be so sweet.

He’s an offensive genius.
Early on, he was too influenced by Stoops, who was very much still around. It seems like he may finally have the defensive coaches around to make major strides on that side of the football.
His major flaw in my opinion (and boy is it major) is that he’s butter soft and has no killer instinct whatsoever. He also overthinks his game plans and tends to move away from things that are working. Especially when what is working is just plain ole running the football.

Football is not static. His recruiting has continued to improve substantially. A couple of years ago people were saying all OU needs is a defense. Well, we have one and coach Grinch is killing it with elite talent. Florida’s 2nd team must suck since we wiped them out. Does Mullen not rotate enough players? Our 2nd team would have won.

Get beat up you say? We have elite talent on OL/DL. Will make for some good games in the trenches. We’ll hold our own against the good teams and maul the mid tier and bottom dwellers. Book mark this thread.
