1-3 in bowls. Only win over a team who was missing half their players.

lost 54-48
lost 45-34
lost 63-28

They hung with a really good Georgia team, who probably was better than Alabama that year.

As for the other 2.. Texas played LSU a lot better than A&M or Oklahoma, but it was early in the year.

Alabama last year was just as stupid as LSU in 2019. I think Ohio State was pretty good with the way they beat Clemson.. so yeah, Bama was just that good.

TLDR: Texas would have gone 4-0 in those games. Tom Herman doesn’t lose bowl games.

Riley has 4 years to add on the resume and book it to a school not in the SEC. If he's still there, he'll be canned by 2028.

Sark won't make it to UT2's debut.

Riley won't continue to win in the SEC's Big 12 Pod?

Pods and the scheduling haven't been determined. Anyway, you think OU is going to be playing a 4 game season?

How many seasons did Herman make it? Strong? Lol

If Sark still has to play in the XII for 4 seasons, I think it's highly likely that he's canned in time for a new guy to lead TU into the SEC.

If he's already automatic against Texas, Arkansas, and Mizzou...

And let's say Auburn, Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Ole Miss, and Alabama roll onto his schedule...

I could easily see him taking Oklahoma 7-2 in the SEC, winning their Pod, and however conference championship game eligibility is determined, making semi-regular appearances.

It's not out of the question.

Edit: Plus, CFP is about to expand to 12 teams. A 10-3 Oklahoma team would more than likely make it.

They are going to get beat up. Getting up for a bowl game is a lot easier than playing an SEC west conference schedule. Maybe the east because they mostly all suck.

2022 is when we will be there, zero doubt in my mind. If he's fired by then, he started drinking during games or we went 1-11.

Are we punishing Lincoln for making it to big games and losing to teams they should lose to?

Weird knock to be honest. I’d rather his resume than consistently underachieving in the regular season and then grabbing some shitty bowl wins in a game that does not matter

Herman was doing copious amounts of blow and banging Kendra Scott...on top of putting a shitty product on the field.

That's cutely optimistic. Besides, going from winning your conference every year to "semi-regular" appearances is sure to leave a sour taste. Not making/winning the SEC championship is what gets coaches from the top teams fired.

The Georgia game hurt. The other ones I expected a beating.

Being an almost automatic entrant into the expanded CFP every year will make up for not winning the conference every year. If OU fans expect to win the conference every year like they did in the Big 12, they are going to spiral out of control with coaching turnovers.

If they go with a pod-based format, I highly doubt they'll put LSU in the same Pod as Oklahoma. They'll most likely get Mizzou and Arkansas and one of the Texas schools. (Austin most likely.)

If they maintain even a fraction of consistency under Riley, their floor will probably be 8 wins a year, which won't be too bad so long as they punch their ticket to Atlanta or the CFP every once and a while.

Does this assume the recruiting won’t pick up? If yes, then I agree.
