Being an almost automatic entrant into the expanded CFP every year will make up for not winning the conference every year. If OU fans expect to win the conference every year like they did in the Big 12, they are going to spiral out of control with coaching turnovers.

I don’t know of any OU fans who think we’ll win the conference every year. We will be a little better than many think. Recruiting. Some experts think we’re the most complete team this year. 'Doesn’t guarantee wins or titles though.

It’s going to be fun to talk shite that first season when Oklahoma doesn’t fail miserably like every expects them to. Watching a bunch of turds that have the majority of their personal identity wrapped up in a fricking college football conference have to make excuses for when OU hangs with the best the SEC has to offer, is going to be so sweet.

Didn’t Mizzou win the SEC East their first season out of the Big 12?

I agree. Many are simply basing their negative opinions on the recent past. You gotta love the elite talent we’re bringing in.

Lincoln Riley knew about the Joe Mixon tape and played him anyway because it had not been made public

I will hammer this fricking home for the next three fricking years or however long that bitch is HC at Soonie

You do that while OU is hanging with the upper tier teams and you’re fighting for relevance. You sound so angry. A bad year for OU will be 9-3. 10-2 won’t be unusual. Don’t be surprised if we go 11-1 once in a awhile. I expect even more parity within the upper tier in a few years.

The don't play defense in teh little 12.

Statistically OU’s defense was top 10. Quite a jump from the year before. It is very difficult to stop Big 12 offenses. It can skew the defensive numbers a bit. Look back on Big 12 teams who played SEC teams and you’ll see what I’m talking about. You’re right that most don’t play defense.

[quote]He’s an offensive genius.

Early on, he was too influenced by Stoops, who was very much still around. It seems like he may finally have the defensive coaches around to make major strides on that side of the football.

His major flaw in my opinion (and boy is it major) is that he’s butter soft and has no killer instinct whatsoever. He also overthinks his game plans and tends to move away from things that are working. Especially when what is working is just plain ole running the football[/quote

Fortunately, I saw him become much more fired up on the sidelines the past year. You can see it his recent interviews as well. He’s learned.

So he lost to two of the best teams ever In a playoff and basically coin flipped with an even UGA team? Kinda an odd knock on somebody that’s been a HC for 4 years.

They’ll learn after we join the conference. Our team is certainly not soft. Grinch has actually recruited some thugs. He’s no dummy.

Lincoln Riley will be in the NFL before the SEC debut and Sark will be fired the final year of B12 play before they hire an upcoming SEC coach/coordinator to takeover.

You do realize that they’re both likely to be playing in the SEC by 2022 right?
