Neither UGA nor OU ducked one another. Conference told both programs that they were going to cancel the game and they did. There are questions about why but given both programs recent scheduling history and the fact that they agreed to play one another home and home is far more indicative of either one being scared of the other than those games being cancelled. I get other fanbases using it as material to slam the programs but pretending like fear from either side was the reason is just silly.

He also played them on the road. I remember that Auburn game in Jordan-hare.

I've always believed that decision came from the TV networks. My theory is that ESPN didn't want to let Fox carry a UGA/OU non-conference game the year before it would have been an SEC game, so they got in Sankey's ear.
TV networks control everything in sports.

What’s even more embarrassing is he was trying to get out of the game after the CFP expansion. Guy has no faith in himself or his team.

In all fairness, that defense would have been enough to keep me up at night.

Just stop. You think facts are going to stop people from posting what they want? It’s the rant.

I will talk shite about USC when we win a season opener for the first time since 2019.

Damn sounds just like when Kirby ducked OU

To summarize the first 3 pages now, we all agree LR is a little bitch.

One of the most fascinating things about Lincoln Riley is that as despised as he is... and as lousy as a coach as OU fans think he is now days...
He is... and likely will always be.... the winningest coach (percentage wise) in OU history.
His winning percentage at OU was higher than Wilkinson, Switzer, or Stoops.

Context matters. How many times in any program does a sitting HC leave with the program at the top? Show me other great coaches and what they took over their first year in comparison.
This stat is just meaningless without context. Did Bob take over a great program? Nope. Saban? Nope. I could go on and on but that matters in this stat and having early success.

His trophy case was a lot smaller than those legends.

Why would SOUTH CAROLINA be afraid of the SEC?
Posted on 5/29/24 at 3:05 pm to lsufan0582
Lincoln Riley may be scared of the SEC, but USC's NEVER EVER been afraid to play the SEC or anyone else.
Alabama (6-2) and Florida (1-0-1) are the only SEC schools -- including Texas & Oklahoma -- that have a winning record vs. the Trojans.
Trojans don't back down from anyone. The USC admin are doing this at Riley's behest. Riley has something against the SEC and I can't seem to find out what it is.

Don't you pull this shenanigan and think you'll get away with it, Mr. Chicken! :)

7 touchdowns in the first half of that playoff game broke him.
