I would have taken the $$$ and built a reasonable stadium at each high school. But high tax districts like Katy, TX can do whatever they want with their tax money.

I've traveled all over Texas on business, and am amazed at some of the high schools and their stadiums. I'm sure other states have similar examples. But, I don't think folks realize how big Texas is and how many towns and cities are there.
Plus, some of these towns have big money. They do like their HS football.

Looks like a nicer version of the old stadium. If you think that this stadium is for Katy High School alone, think again. It is a shared stadium for the Katy ISD.

Some do. Those are for the JV, sophomore, freshman football teams.
