Katy High would destroy any high school in Louisiana.
Posted on 7/26/17 at 7:02 pm to texag7
That's just not true. They can certainly destroy most of them. But the cream of the crop in Texas and Louisiana are similar. Same for Florida,California,Ohio etc.
Powerhouse programs are powerhouses for a reason.

Who are the powerhouse programs in Louisiana?

McKinney is fixing to build one bigger than that.

This.
I can't even recall seeing a Louisiana HS team on tv ever.
Most I've seen are Cali, Texas and Florida high schools with your occasional Alabama school (Hoover).

Even if Katy is the best program in Houston.
The Woodlands would have something to say about that

Katy is good but they wouldn't destroy the powerhouse LA programs. My HS played a Texas school when they were dominating 5a and beat them. Lot of talent in LA

I think the stadium itself cost around $58 million. Total price tag is about $72 million with parking and the different complexes around. Naming rights were sold to Academy, headquartered in Katy, for $2.5 million over a 10 year period. In total, 8 schools will use this stadium along with Rhodes Stadium(seats 9700) to service Katy ISD. School district projects the new stadium will also bring in $500k in revenue per year.

Aaaaand this is why Texas recruits are, on average, very overrated. Surely athletes at schools with such nice facilities generate wildly athletic players? Nope!

Silly use of tax dollars, but whatever. I'm not contributing, so I really don't care.

I guess being ranked 2nd in state GDP has its privileges. But by all means rage on lil SJW.
