I would be aggravated at Texas for being so competitive across the board if I wasn't already aggravated at our athletic department for letting UF slide as much as we have.
My hat is off to you guys.

The difference is Texas fields every nonsense club as a sports team. Tennessee is just good at winning

It was easy to figure out with one post.

1. Infatuation with Texas teams.
2. Wrong (forgot or didn't know Baylor is in Texas)
3. Spelling error
4. Mathematically incorrect

Plus, Hold da Mayo last post: 3/30/25 at 6:15 pm. CharlieBrown22 registered on: 4/1/2025
4.

I remember when the Rebs, Vandy and MSU were always at the bottom of these lists together. Cause it was ~ 2012.

As will baseball, softball and track and field.

Also curious the number of sports Texas has national championships, and the ones that haven't won it all.

For UF:

Men 7
Football
MBB
Baseball
Golf
Tennis
IT&F
OT&F

Not yet
Cross Country

Women 7
Softball
Tennis
Golf
IT&F
OT&F
Soccer
Gymnastics

not yet
WBB
Volleyball
LAX
Cross Country

Been close in LAX and super close in Volleyball, but we are never winning it in WBB and Cross Country.

It sucks that Mary Wise didn't win a natty in Volleyball. She is one of the greatest ever to coach at UF.

The SEC is definitely more competitive than the BDF. Going to have to step up

We were 11th last year after Winter was posted last year.. finished #1
We were 6th the year before and finished #2.

I believe that we are the favorite based on the math and the current rankings, but it obviously depends on the finish, but I like our chances..

Arkansas has generally finished in the top 20 or there abouts with #7 being our best in the 2021-22 standings. Not too shabby for a small college in a small population state.

While teams can be playing all types of sports. They only count a certain number for each team. I guess when you think about playing the odds then that would probably be better for you but you can still only count so many sports

It would be more accurate to calculate the points per sport. In the current setup, they only count 20 sports, so if you have 25 sports, the bottom 5 don't even count while if you have 18, all 18 are counting - even the ones that have bad years, giving an advantage to schools who participate in more than 20 sports.

Thanks! Men's basketball and indoor track & field are our only letdowns for the academic year. Otherwise, a very solid showing for the first year in the conference.
