Absolutely all teams get away with stuff; never said otherwise.
I commented specifically on that targeting play, since it’s the gif posted in this thread.
Fans don’t like to see their teams’ players get a raw deal; it’s universal.
Doesn’t have a thing to do with hatred.

Neither one of them were called because the ref did not think them players were defenseless. I'd have to rewatch the sack but I know the RB was not defenseless. It would be different if the RB was being tackled and the other player lead with his helmet!

Not a defenseless player, pussies.

Not a defenseless player, pussies.

No player shall target and make forcible contact against an opponent with the crown (top) of his helmet. This foul requires that there be at least one indicator of targeting (See Note 1 below). When in question, it is a foul.

Note 1: "Targeting" means that a player takes aim at an opponent for purposes of attacking with forcible contact that goes beyond making a legal tackle or a legal block or playing the ball. Some indicators of targeting include but are not limited to: Launch—a player leaving his feet to attack an opponent by an upward and forward thrust of the body to make forcible contact in the head or neck area A crouch followed by an upward and forward thrust to attack with forcible contact at the head or neck area, even though one or both feet are still on the ground Leading with helmet, shoulder, forearm, fist, hand or elbow to attack with forcible contact at the head or neck area Lowering the head before attacking by initiating forcible contact with the crown of the helmet

Both these huge A&M-Bama hits were targeting. The one against Bama wasn't called

Part of the NCAA’s targeting rule does refer to defenseless players, but using the crown of the helmet to hit another player in the helmet is supposed to be targeting even if the player has the ball.

Are you this stupid?
The rule is two parts. Look at what I quoted. If you use the crown of your helmet the player doesn’t have to be defenseless. It’s sinple reading

Why didn’t you post the rest of that statement

Sad it would probably be called targeting now.
