A&M lost the starting QB in week two - and that was the end of 2022 season hopes. In the past Fisher’s team went into a tailspin in the same situation. Not this year. Every game with the exception of MSU was lost on the road with a backup that simply couldn’t play outside of Kyle Field

Why did Calzada transfer? Because he knew that he would never again take snaps at A&M. And to address that “hole” Fisher went out and got a good experienced QB to enhance competition. And Weigman is one of the best, most competitive QB’s I have seen in awhile coming out of high school. Add the recruiting classes under Fisher (this is a great class but the foundation has been built already)

Hard not to be excited where it is going …

Have A&M fans just blocked out all memory of their last game? I've never seen so many head-in-the-sand posts before. Yes, LSU has been terrible the past 2 seasons. That's why we made a change all throughout the coaching staff. A&M finished 5th in the division and the only change they made was losing the most valuable coach. Without Elko this past year, A&M wouldn't have had to worry about dodging WF because they would have finished 5-7

You're so reactionary and emotional.

One day, the sky is falling and recruiting is toast. You can't even watch games for your health's sake.

Next day, you're all fired up about "where it's going."

Just a bump in the road. Losing to LSU was a downright travesty but that is Calzada for you. Kid had the yips at the snap of the ball most of the year. No different in Baton Rouge. He simply didn’t have the composure to win games on the road

We are quickly getting Bama and Georgia levels of talent to fill some of the depth issues. QB was a huge issue last year - will be much better this next year if the starter goes down. It is only Fisher’s fourth year working from nothing

He didn't even play that bad

Y'all are trashing a kid for going:

20/35
242 yards
3 touchdowns
0 interceptions

I don’t watch for my health’s sake. I’m honestly glad about that and so is my wife. It sucks to have your entire weekend ruined for dumb reasons so I have stepped back this year. Even if we are great next year I won’t be watching live

It’s kind of like years ago when I was studying for work and found out didn’t need TV. Now I watch TV in moderation, and have for the past decade. It will be the same with A&M sports going forward

And still 1-1 against the Aggies in that stretch. Weird even at LSU’s worst they beat them just as much as they lose to them.

Well, 1*-1

You all know it was a fumble.

Maybe, but the 247 Composite ranking (the one generally referenced from their site) has LSU at 18. This with only 13 recruits.

They will finish top 15 at worst with an outside shot of finishing in the top 10 after filling out class.

You cowards shouldn’t even be allowed to post anymore. Aggy, all hat no cattle. You are the laughing stock of the SEC and too stupid to even realize it.

A&M is so insecure that they didn’t even want to play in a bowl game.

LSU, on the other hand, barley has 40 players, and is still secure enough to play in a bowl game

Reading so many of these posts from 8&4feit posters only leads to the conclusion that, despite the great recruiting class, you're just really insecure (and I hate using that word which is so overused/misused on this board). The crap about will Kelly fit culturally (even though it's pretty much identical to Saban's cultural fit in 2001 when he came to LSU) is really reaching. You say Kelly is too old, even though he is only 4 years older than Fisher. You say Kelly hates to recruit, and point to LSU's recruiting ranking this year, even though this recruiting year isn't over. And of course you ignore the fact that Notre Dame (which is undeniably harder to recruit to because of higher academic standards) has had several top 10 recruiting classes the last few years, including this year. The BS just smells like fear.
