Last time LSU fans were this insecure?

I’ve only been on this site since 2012. But this is by far the most shook I’ve ever seen LSU fans.

I mean, there have been more acute temporary moments of melt, sure. But I’ve never seen them in this kind of general malaise about their future prospects.

Would we need to go back to the early 90s for the last time they were this rattled?

Nah. 2012-2014 were peak rattledness. 21-0 followed by Yeldon’s screen pass to complete the comeback the very next year truly broke them for a period of time.

Do you really think A&M fans are in a “general malaise about our future?”

We’re disappointed in this last season, sure. But, whatever you guys might think about it, most Ags (including me) are exceedingly excited about the next few seasons.

Do you think LSU fans are?

If so, why?

They’ve lived two years of absolute suckage. Something they haven’t seen since the 90s. They put on their hope in a guy who isn’t a top tier recruiter, is well past his prime, and a guy who’s prime was well below national champion. They’re convincing their self it’s gunna work out, but deep down they know.

I see seven threads up on this page started by aggies seeking attention. Most should be on the recruiting board.

This is getting as bad as the 2019, burrow, greatest team ever threads, and they are still going on.

I'm glad you finally have something to be happy about though.

I do.

I expect they recognize that Kelly is off to a slow start in recruiting and that A&M is assembling the kind of talent over them that LSU has generally enjoyed over others.

I’ve see several LSU posters say as much, and a fear that they’re right is a good explanation for the anger and touchiness that is typical of LSU posters on the rant at the moment.

He's four years older than Jimbo.

And Jimbo started his last job at 51? 52? Kelly is in his 60s.

^^This ^^
Those sequences if events sent them into a tailspin. They've had one glimmer of hope only to find that it was fools gold. Aggies are just pouring salt into the wound.

How? He hasn't even been here a full month yet.

It's one class, my dude.

Jimbo was recruiting top 5 classes every year at Florida State and still losing to Boston College and Houston.

At least make your arguments believable.

Your team just quit on their bowl game, and you have been the laughing stock of this board for about two weeks. Plus, you lost to LSU this season.

What was your post about again?

247 has LSU’s class ranked 34th. Get your head out of the sand.

Okay?

Again, I'm failing to see why you're saying Kelly is "past his prime" but you believe Jimbo isn't.

I had front row seats for that one. The LSU guys I was staying with were pretty devastated. It was a hell of a day though

I’m sure you’ve been around during the off-season before. This is aggy’s favorite time of year. Next year has been their year as long as I can remember.

Why lie?

Or maybe you've buried your own head in the sand.

You know it’s the off-season when A&M fans start taking about next season
