There’s a whole lot of suck before 2019.

I swear I want to say Arky got to #1 for a week once since 65 lol. If not, I've lived 50 years without a single sports page to laminate. Sad.

Oof... how did that turn out? Must be a top 10, right?

Can you imagine a reality where Colorado and Ga Tech split the national title? 1990 isn't exactly ancient history.

You mean in the middle of the season? That is Jack-Wagging. Middle of the season is an opinion poll. End of the year is all that counts.

That was a magical month in CFB, when MSU was #1 and Ole Miss was #3.
A lot of fun to see.

Uh, not for MSU. We had 9-0 record after beating Texas A&M, LSU , Auburn, Arkansas, Kentucky etc. We then lost to Bama 25-20 but thats not really what hurt us alone, we had defensive injuries and suspensions that added up late in the season because we did not have a lot of depth.

Is there really a Big 6 when one of the 6 has more weeks at #1 than the other 5 combined?

Yep...closest they came since then was #2 in December 2001.
Then again, Georgia was #1 for 1 week (preseason) in 2008 before 2021 happened...before that, their last time had been in 1982...so it isn't like Georgia has been a perennial #1 over the last 4 decades, either.

2014 SEEMS LIKE YESTERDAY... On the other hand 1957, yikes would hate to be that fanbase...

I thought for sure we were #1 for a week in 2012 (obviously before Jax).
