If he wants to leave, he can. I’m sure he’ll enjoy the fricked up booster culture over at Auburn. We’ll be in the stadium this weekend in force against the first team we’ve played that means something.

Without question…but according to most of you, he would be gone after one year…well, this is year 3, and, you know. No doubt Oxford is not the final destination for Kiffin, but if he wanted to leave so badly I don’t think he would be saying anything about the crowd. He’s actually looking for a reason to stay. It’s not gonna work, but still…

Stop scheduling shitty non-conference games and people will show up. I hate that it's an SEC tradition to play a cupcake before rivalry week. Gladly, that appears to be going by the wayside.

Hotels are the real problem. It's close to or over $1k for an out of town family to stay for a weekend in Oxford. It's unrealistic to expect people to do that 3 times in one month for Troy, Central Arkansas, and Tulsa during a global economic crisis.

I bought great seats at Vaught in 2017 (I think?) for 17 dollars online, fees included.

Lane Kiffin can bitch all he wants, but I'm not paying a few hundred dollars a game to watch OM beat the shite out of Troy, Central Ark, and Tulsa in 95 degree weather. I feel like most Ole Miss fans feel this way. Stop scheduling terrible matchups, lower ticket prices, and we'll show up.
This is common sense to most everyone I would think
Plus they already have the ticket money . Whether we go or not, it doesn’t matter. Hell you have to park and walk 2 miles in the heat now just to get to the game . And spend several
Hundred a night at minimum for hotel/airbnb
Who wants to leave work at Friday and drive 3-6 hours to Oxford and get in late and sit in the heat Saturday and drive home Sunday and boom it’s another work week all for freaking central Arkansas ? Frick that shite

You could've left it at that.

TLDR on the whole thread: play high school teams, get high school atmosphere. Ain’t nobody payin for that.

To be fair so far they've had home games against Tulsa, Troy, and Central Arkansas.
Yeah hard to blame the fans. I only half-watch those games on TV, certainly not going to the stadium for them

This is what happens when a university attempts to destroy all of what made Ole Miss special. I saw Dixie in the grove once when I was a little kid watching Tennessee travel down there and it was awesome

If people don’t have the money then it doesn’t matter if it’s a scrub team or a primetime game every week. If you’re broke, you’re broke, regardless of who is playing.

Would you spend $3000 to go to 3 shitty non-con games or $3000 to go to 2 out of 4 of these conference games: a top 15 matchup with Kentucky, Auburn, top 5 Alabama, or top 25ish State. The answer is easy if I didn’t live in Oxford.

Meh. Schedule better non conference games and people will show up. Nobody with a life is going to go sit in 100 degrees to watch us play Central Arkansas or Tulsa

That is no excuse. We lost to App State yet still had 107,000 the next week against Miami. Support the team
Your school, state, and alumni base completely dwarfs Ole Miss and Mississippi. Y'all have loyal fans, but it's not really fair to compare the two. Not to mention, showing up to a primetime game against another P5 team, regardless of the loss a week prior, is a lot different than showing up to a noon game against Central Arkansas.
I like to bag on Ole Miss as much as anyone, but giving them shite for not having max crowds against those directional schools isn't a reason to

Vols just sold out against Akron.
102,000 strong.

Why is this unique to OM? You would expect attendance to be on par with other SEC fanbases, percentage wise, in the stadium for cakewalks.
