Vols just sold out against Akron.

102,000 strong.

and Vols couldn't give away tickets to games a couple years ago, even big SEC games.

Lane Kiffin can bitch all he wants, but I'm not paying a few hundred dollars a game to watch OM beat the shite out of Troy, Central Ark, and Tulsa in 95 degree weather. I feel like most Ole Miss fans feel this way.

Stop scheduling terrible matchups, lower ticket prices, and we'll show up.

This is what seperates Ole miss from Bama and others. 100K show up if its New Mexico St or if it's Penn St.

eh, Alabama has sell outs on the books for every game, but that doesn't mean people are always showing up (or staying). Saban has made similar comments to Kiffin in press conferences regarding fan attendance

Saban has never bitched about fans leaving at halftime after he’s won that fanbase multiple national championships. Definitely has never occurred.

Not an Ole Miss problem, look at crowds everywhere.
B. Recession with high inflation, cost of attending a beat down of directional state university is expensive.

We've already sold out for UK on Saturday. Ole Miss fans show up when it matters. We don't for Central Arkansas and Tulsa and we aren't alone in that regard.

we all stayed for Missouri State

ETA: wait, so the full crowd from the start of the game, then disappearing after halftime, is because of the inflation economy?

He was pissed at the students. I think they threatened to take away their section.

Can't relate in Aggieland.

Almost 39k in students for Lamar.

“I can honestly say I was a little disappointed there weren’t more students at the last game,” Saban said at a Wednesday news conference. “I think we’re trying to address that. I don’t think they’re entitled to anything, either. Me, personally, I think it ought to be first-come, first-serve. If they don’t want to come to the game, they don’t have to come. But I’m sure there’s enough people around here that would like to go to the games, and we’d like for them to come, too, because they support the players.”

In 2019

"Everybody wants to be a part of the team," he said. "Everybody wants to be No. 1, but everybody don't want to do what the beast does. Everybody wants to be the beast but they don't want to do what the beast do.

"So everybody's got to make a sacrifice. You want to be the lion? Everybody got to do something. Everybody wants to be No. 1. If I asked that whole student section, do you want to be No. 1? Nobody would hold their hand up and say I want to be No. 4. They would all say No. 1. But are they willing to do everything to be No. 1? That’s another question. You can ask them that. I don't know the answer."

"We expect our players to compete for 60 minutes of the game," Saban said. "I'm not satisfied with the way some of our players competed in the fourth quarter–the second team guys and all that. I'd like to see them get supported, just like some of the people that are fun to watch."

You do realize there were not 100,000 for the New Mexico State game don't you? There weren't even 100,000 there for the Vandy game (it was closer but that is at least a conference game). And you have over 1 million in metro Birmingham, 45 minutes away.

That is not a knock. It just is what it is. I don't blame anybody for not showing up to every game. Why waste your time on games that people don't care about. Want better crowds? Schedule better games.

Damn, who’d have thought the Vandy fan would be the smartest in the thread?

there's at least one thing that happens in the student sections of home games in the other 13 SEC schools that never happens at Aggy games

girls whisper a little something something in their boyfriends ears by the middle of Q2 and then they're gone by halftime

Bull shite. Your coach calls out the students and fans leaving games early.

So sick of hearing this shite 3 out of the first 4 were home games People don’t have the income to keep spending $3,000 a weekend and the drive to and from Oxford It’s asking too much for them to keep coming to scrub games

Do you think we only have 65000 fans who are being asked to come to all the games? Our fanbase is much bigger than that and we have to collectively start acting like the big boy program we expect to be. You need to stop taking it personally. No one is asking YOU to come to all seven home games. WE can and should do better though.

Wierd how that "epic" tailgate experience with their chicken strips and toothless wimminz doesn't translate to a packed stadium

That is no excuse. We lost to App State yet still had 107,000 the next week against Miami. Support the team

College station is a pretty easy drive from Houston and App is a decent match up

oxford is a pain in the arse to get to unless you live in Memphis. Ole miss grads arent flying in from Houston, dallas, atl for rent-a-wins. Or driving 3+ hours from jackson
