Lane Kiffin didn’t leave Ole Miss during a playoff run. Ole Miss fired him.

Lane wanted to stay and coach Ole Miss all the way through. Ole Miss said no and forced him to leave, destroying their chances at a title. Lane even loaned them LSU’s OC ton help out. It wasn’t enough to overcome Golding’s incompetence.

Lane tried to give Ole Miss a championship by remaining loyal, but they stabbed him in the back and fired him right before a championship run and stole the team from him.

On Saturday, Lane gets his revenge for being done wrong.

To be fair, LSU only agreed to let him coach the playoffs because they knew OM would have to refuse.

Why didn’t they have to refuse? They could have let him coach and won a national championship. Instead, Indiana won it.

"goodbye"

You can’t blame OM for not allowing Lane to coach the playoffs. Had Lane acted like an adult instead of an immature teenager then he might have gotten to stay and coach the playoffs. If Kiffin is still upset that he didn’t get a chance to go to the playoffs and coach last year then he should look in the mirror. The guy looking back at him carries all the blame for that.

There was gonna be no good way to leave.
Lane wanted the LSU job and once he got it, it was gonna be a bit of a shite show no matter what.

Nobody is to blame. Both parties did what everyone else would do.

PS- if you're the top tech/engineer at a firm and turn in a 2 week notice so you can go to the competitor, you may be asked to leave immediately. It's business. The fans make it worse than it is.

Yeah…. recruiting players to go to your next gig at a rival program is typically not something you get paid for…

He quit for another school and like most corporations, they escorted him and his stuff out of the building.

He wasn't fired, he just wasn't trusted.

And you have zero proof of this. Besides, CEO’s take their best managers with them ALL the time. Why wouldn’t they? And why are you so against someone deciding to leave. Some did, some didn’t. You sound like a pussy

3 of the last 5 schools he coached for "let him go." May the odds ever be in your favor

The last time Kiffin took another job and had to coach in the playoffs, he got fired days before the national championship because he had checked out so badly that the greatest coach of all time didn’t think he could win with him.

I’m not against anyone deciding to leave. Corporate world acts like this. You don’t wait for proof. You take precautions.

So the person complaining about decisions Ole Miss made to safeguard themselves sounds like a pussy to me.

What the news and media always fail to report was the fact that Ole Miss told Lane he had to sign a long-term contract or not Coach the playoff team he built. What a bitch arse move like all the other shite they’ve pulled this week. They know whats coming and they deserve every bit of it.
