Hate to break it to you, but Kiffin is not going to be going to that absolute train wreck of a situation LSU has put themselves in. Yikes.

Those JBC’s hit, though. Let’s be easy on some Wendy’s.
I for one wouldn’t like to see him leave. We finally have stability and at least are winning games. It seems like no one remembers the Dooley, Butch, or Pruitt years. I would love to not experience those years again.
This. My only conundrum would be if the coach is successful, how do you stop the coach from being poached? I know there’s the buyout clause and all of that jazz, but wouldn’t there always be a school throwing out a deal that’s more lucrative than the next? Wouldn’t this come full circle again?

Agree completely. Heup always seems to sort the offense out, even with its woes. If we had last years D, goodness. I find it crazy that we are great in causing chaos until it’s the red zone or 3rd and 15.

Especially with the way the college landscape is shaping and evening out, why abandon the culture and program you’re building/built, with the backing of the AD, to start over somewhere while being under a microscope? The difference in salaries the coaches are receiving are marginal at this point. I get the reasoning like 5 years ago when things were different.
Well, considering our school was established before you were even a state kind of says a lot…..and Kentucky recently just held your superior team to 16 points only winning by 3. But, I digress..
Dead last in red zone defense. Oooof. Points will be scored on us.

Tbh, I think they both stay too. I think florida has a feel of dysfunction at the moment. Plus, Mizz and Ole Miss have stepped up for their coaches to be competitive.

I think if the defense ever gets figured out, it’s not out of the realm. There are only a handful of coaches I’d take over Heup at this point in time.

I think in reality it’s not about having the money for buyouts but eventually boosters getting tired of shelling out for buyouts. I would assume after a certain point it gets tiresome to pay someone millions of dollars and send them on a vacation for nothing in return. Those funds would be better suited to acquire good players than paying buyouts ever 5 years.
Still better than having none.

Not much to melt about. Does it suck? Sure does. But, when the MLB comes calling with no MLB experience and you don’t have to worry about rev share. Realistically, I would have made the same decision. If it doesn’t work out, any college team will take you. It is what it is but can’t fault him for trying at the highest level.

Sheeeesh! It’s Monday. C’mon now, put the daggers away. But, meh. Vandy is a good football team as much as I thought I’d realistically never say. I’m going to hold off until we play UK. And go from there.
Yall are so insecure since the reports of Napier. It’s hard to win a natty anywhere. Kiffin didn’t go to Auburn or LSU. It’ll be alright…

The irony of this beta thread begging for Lane.
If our defense can stop with the busted coverages and tackles. If not, Ty Simpson will definitely exploit that.
Probably a good time to stop drinking and call it a night.
Haha he is, but I’ll give credit where it’s due, he’s coached and won well.
Oh hell yeah. Went to Farragut. Go Admirals. That was my thought as well. We have a good QB coming in and MacIntyre already in the system. Pretty sure Merk will transfer. But I say roll with what you have, coach them, and let ‘em at it. It’d be nice to have a QB that you didn’t have to bring in and can focus other places.
