I was very confused as well. If they allocate for it, why would you not pay for positions needed? You would think the buckeyes would understand paying for roster…

Nico most definitely has the higher potential. I don’t think anyone denies that. UT needs depth and adding someone with game experience can definitely add competition. Worst case, we gain a serviceable QB for the season.

Didn’t he have a stud running back transfer out and then land on a NC squad? If anything, Kiffin put his foot down less publicly. So, in reality, what’s he going to say publicly that’s not coach speak?

Should read:”BIG NIC” still looking for more than $4 million. Is UT still looking for a quarterback in the portal yes. Will reports come out of tampering? Yes 100%. Will we get some one? TBD. Most good/serviceable QBs have either continued their contract or got more at the current school. The now tampering reports are about to come out (as expected to happen). All I’ve been hearing with the local sports radio dudes “connected” (we know how that is) say we would love a QB but during this cycle, everyone’s gotten their money and or raise. Looking for a 1 season year to compete is meh.

Don’t believe so. Jeremy’s suing the NCAA, not Tennessee. Although his claim is the NCAA conspired with Tennessee.

As of now, I’d say yes since a lot of fans are saying ride with the QB room we have now and take our lumps. Of course, those feeling will more than likely change once the games start being played.
Was listening to sports radio on my way home and the host using it left and right talking about the whole fiasco. I think us here already know the irony so it really hasn’t been dropped too much.

And to be fair, Heupel addressed his team stating no one is above the team. If you’re complaining about people saying he’s a hero, you’re dumber than I thought. Forget the fans, Heupel literally set an example to HIS team that no one is above everyone in that locker room. You’re clueless, time to stfu and get off the forum.

I agree. Just hoping this whole fiasco will make players check themselves. Wishful thinking but hoping. As much as everyone on this board are rivals, we all hope for this dumb shite not to happen to any team. It’s literally ruining college football.

Man, you’re missing the mark by a mile. Tennessee held up their end… didn’t think he was worth $4 million…let him go due to him not living up to the money he’s already been paid…..UT said no. As I left it, if a school pays him more, that’s on them. UT drew the line. Simple as that.

He was already making 2.4 million….more than 90% of the fans that come and watch him. UT was holding up their end by paying him what he agreed to. What stats are you looking at that shows he’s worth more than what we were paying him? If he stayed the course and actually took a step this year, he would triple what he’s asking for in the NFL. He’s not above the other players in the locker room and not worth the headache. If a school pays him what he’s asking for…that’s on them.
