LSU has done pretty good and they had to face the Saban domination that took a lot potential conference and national titles out of the picture.
Arkansas doesn't have the money unless they took all the money away from basketball and baseball and poured into football then you might see a difference. That isn't going to happen.
Arkansas like the Mississippi schools just don't have the money.

Because he can't have his own standards and bringing success wouldn't raise them?

Perhaps he feels he should be the center of attention at all times ? That’s
definitely a narcissistic trait. Hopefully
he can handle the heat when he hits a
bump in the road. The low expectations
at Ole Miss are just an excuse to justify
jumping ship in a playoff run.

And what if he wins a championship at LSU? What if he wins 2? Then what?
He won’t even appear in a championship at lsu. Can’t handle the pressure. And has never proven he can. He has in fact proved the opposite.

Lane didn’t like the low expectations at Ole Miss
Looking back, it's absolutely hilarious how all Ole Miss people and brass got such big heads about their program SOLELY and COMPLETELY because of what Lane accomplished for them
He built that program, doesn't change the fact that if a program the prestige of LSU or Florida came open and calling, he's definitely taking that call and leaving, sorry not sorry

Lane sure will say anything. It will be interesting what he does to dog LSU when he moves on again in a couple of years. What an a-hole

Yes the grove collective had nothing to do with it! It was all lane train and his merry band of walk ons!

To be fair, he tried to stay and see it through

I don’t think Lane expected to stay. That
was just trying Lane trying to have it both ways.

I dont think he actually believed that would be agreed to and kept the schtick up to drive attention and be a thorn in OMs side since he couldnt join the team for playoffs

He may have known/felt it wouldn't be approved, but I 100% beleive he wanted it and pushed/begged to finish it out for a chance at a title.

theyd be content with 7 win seasons

Probably right. Further proves how clownish his behavior was. He stated that his reason for leaving was to compete for national championships. So he decided to leave a program that had a reasonable chance to compete for one currently for another that may compete for one in the future. Im all for him following his dreams, his confidants, etc… but his rationale falls flat. He didnt even have to try and sell it to everyone if thats what he wanted to do.
Not sure why he constantly wants to war with reality

Happens every year and most let them finish.

Not when they go to a rival. If he was
leaving a LSU team heading for the playoffs to coach Ole Miss, LSU wouldn’t let him coach in the playoffs either.

Last year was the first. Tulane and JMU dont compete on the same level or same conferences.
