Yeah, but that is on him and not on her and we should be better than that. It's just wrong, dude.

To be clear, I'm against any banner about this. Sorry, I should have clarified...my point was, the 2024 season, it was a big mystery why Bentley wasn't playing more....Lane never would explain why....even though the limited time he did play, he did very well....if fact, he had a long TD run against LSU on one of the few carries he got in the game.

I've tried explaining this to them, they won't have it.

If it’s all false then why did Lane keep Bentley on the bench. He was many times better than any of our other running backs that year. It made zero sense unless he was just trying to tank
Because with almost double the carries Parrish averaged more yards per attempt than Bentley….

Shocking I know the coach played the better RB more

Parrish had 5.2 YPC on 130 attempts

Bentley had 5.0 YPC on 86 attempts

What the frick is the mystery?

Hell, y’all’s 3rd string back averaged more yards than Bentley at 5.1 YPC

Yeah, I wish that Ole Miss folks wouldn't take out their hatred of her father on her. That's out of bounds, in my opinion.

Several of you have spread the rumor on here.

I didn't realize she still attended Ole Miss. That can't be comfortable for her.
Oh damn I didn’t either.

Regardless of if she and Bentley screwed around, I do agree that she should be left out of the bullshite surrounding the game.

His game logs kinda show differently.

Furman 6/23
MTSU 5/13
WF 3/17
GA Southern 2/9
Oklahoma 5/5
Arkansas 5/11
UGA 13/28

He had good games against LSU and State. He was average to below average in all those other games. And honestly, that LSU game was one long run and not much else from him. He was a pretty damn average running back. Maybe he didn't get more run because he didn't put in the work in practice. Maybe he had issues in his blocking assignments. Maybe he showed up late to team events. Maybe he was an a-hole. I have no idea. But to say the only thing that makes sense is "he must have fricked Kiffin's daughter" is absurd.

It’s because it’s irrelevant. 2024, he had Quinshon Judkins ahead of him on the depth chart. 2025, he was basically the only true running back on our roster.

On topic, this shite sucks and it’s something I actively like about Ole Miss. the small school nature is a double edged sword. I feel like something like this happens every few years. My college years was “Hotty Toddy Bloody Make Out Girl”. Though that wasn’t really rumors, just a very unfortunate photo.

It’s a mystery to ole Miss fans why the running back who actually had a better YPC played more

Truly perplexing to them

In 2023, we had Quinshon Judkins as our primary RB so his carries would have been fewer. In 2024, Judkins had left to play at Ohio State leaving the RB room in bad shape. We had a need at RB and by all accounts, Bentley wasn't hurt but Lane simply refused to play him as our primary RB, even though, there was a need. To bigger mystery was that Lane never would give a reason.

You serious, Clark? If a player isn't getting as many touches as the fans want (btw, he had the 2nd-most carries for an RB in 2024), then it can't be for any other reason than he's screwing the coach's daughter. Couldn't be any other off-field issues or any other reason, no way. Also couldn't be that the coaches analyze things differently than the average fan...

Statistics and shite

When you take into account we didnt have Judkins the last year, then it raises some eyebrows. Especially when he was listed as RB1 and had less carries.

Lane started a wide receiver at running back that had never started at running back in his career against Florida over Bentley.

That’s the kind of stuff that make people question things

Parrish missed the bulk of the season in 2024 due to injury. He got the benefit of playing those first four games against Furman, MTSU, Wake Forest, and Georgia Southern. When we played against Kentucky, Parrish was completely shut down and Bentley didn't even see the field.
